My 7-year-old grandchild's sleepover and cherry blossom viewing bento 🌸
My eldest daughter and grandchildren stayed over on March 7th.
Only my 7-year-old grandchild ended up staying for another night.
Playing with my grandchild

but then said, "Grandma, let's play!" so we played board games, went fishing, played Mancala, and so on.
We also brought out the keyboard to play some music together 🎶
My grandchild improvised a song to the rhythm of the keyboard. They looked like a jazz pianist, and I, being a doting grandmother, thought, "Could this child be a genius?" 🤭
Since they said they were playing "Ode to Joy" at school, I thought, "In that case," and brought out the Otamatone for the first time in a while to play along 🎶
We also tried out the "Sushi Beat" I bought in Okinawa for the first time, and it was so fun! We both played it and danced 🤭
(It's a shame my grandchild refused to let me record or film it.)
Snack: Crepes

I baked the crepe batter, and my grandchild cut the bananas.
They added bananas, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce just the way they liked.
Folded it up and took a big bite!
They were so happy 😋
A gift from my grandchild

A "Grandpa" pendant for my husband,
and an Otamatone for me (^^)
I thought the bottom part should have been rounder, but it seems they ran out of beads.
Dinner: Salmon Chan-chan Yaki

We also had spring rolls, asparagus with bacon, and deep-fried chikuwa, which are my grandchild's favorites.
They were happy and ate a lot 😋
Breakfast: The usual self-serve sandwiches

I wonder if I fell asleep before my grandchild did?
I was the last one up in the morning too, so I rushed to prepare breakfast.
Going to the park to fly a kite

We took the train to a large park.
There wasn't much wind, so it didn't fly very high,
but they enjoyed it very much.
I was so happy to receive a grass ring as a gift from them ❤️
🌸 Cherry blossom viewing bento 🍱

Inari sushi, salmon and seaweed rice balls, fried chicken, asparagus wrapped in bacon,
broccoli, strawberries
They really liked the Inari sushi with egg and white sesame seeds😋
My grandchild finished everything and looked so happy eating the strawberries all by themselves
It was a delightful cherry blossom viewing experience😊
I took my grandchild home by train, and our fun time together came to an end.
After this, the two of us went out to see the mimosa.
I'll share that in the next post(^^)
