[Unboxing💍] I bought a super cheap 18K yellow gold 1mm stacking ring on Rakuten Ichiba

----------------------------------------
Hello, it's Azu!
I purchased an 18K yellow gold 1mm width ring from the jewelry workshop on Rakuten Ichiba that I introduced previously, so I'd like to share it with you!
Search to Order
I wanted to pair it with my Mariha 'Wish' ring, so I looked around quite a bit. I figured that for a simple, thin, straight ring, it probably wouldn't make much difference where I bought it, so I looked for a place that would make it as cheaply as possible.
I searched for 'ring, 18K yellow gold, 1mm',
sorted by lowest price,
and picked out a few shops from the results that had good product details and reviews.
You can find my past article introducing those here.
This time, I purchased it from Beare.
Looking at the reviews, many people mentioned that the sizing runs a bit small and that it's better to order 0.5 size up, so I requested a 10.5 for my size 10 ring finger.
Waiting for Shipment to Shipping Email
The product details stated that a one-week production period was required before shipping. The confirmation email after ordering clearly provided the scheduled shipping date one week later, and I felt reassured knowing the specific date.
Then, the shipping email arrived on the evening of the scheduled shipping day.
This is a solid operation that leaves no room for anxiety.
Looking at past reviews from around 2015, many people wrote that shipping was slow, so perhaps they have improved over the last 10 years.
Delivery was via trackable mail service.
I am registered for the Yamato Transport LINE account, so I received a notification right away.

sooner than the shop's shipping email.
It arrived the next morning.
Since it was a mail service, it was dropped in the mailbox.
It's jewelry, so having it left in the mailbox was a little worrying.
My mailbox is a locking type that can fit mail service packages, but if yours is small and doesn't have a lock, you might want to consult with the shop in advance.
Unboxing
Now, let's get to the unboxing!

My first impression is that it feels thin and light. It is indeed 1mm wide, but it is very thin, and I don't feel the weight typical of a gold ring.
It looks quite different from the photos on the shop's website.

Compared to the Mariha ring, the amount of gold definitely feels like it's worth half the price.

I immediately tried pairing it with my Mariha 'Wish' ring.
Since the width is the same, they look like they go well together, don't they?
I feel like it would be good for when I'm just going out in the neighborhood. I guess I achieved my initial goal?
However, even though the size is correct, perhaps due to the difference in the edges, it feels like it's digging into my skin when I wear it.
For thin rings, maybe a design that is rounded all the way around like a donut🍩 is more comfortable to wear.
I thought this might be why there were many reviews saying it runs small.
The Mariha ring is designed with this in mind. I clearly understood that just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's good enough.
This time, it was a failure.
Too bad😢
For now, I'm thinking of asking for a size exchange. If it's a little loose, the fit might improve.
I'll write another post about how that goes.
Please wait a little while!
