Turning my first exhibition piece of 2021 into a T-shirt | Easily order originals at Sweat.jp

In addition to the annual Yokohama Sunday Painters Exhibition,
my collection of works keeps growing as I draw this and that.

At one point, I suddenly thought,
why not try printing them on a T-shirt?

It just so happened, by pure coincidence,
that there was a store within walking distance.

When I thought about trying to print on a T-shirt,
I remembered seeing a shop like that.

What a synchronicity!

Things like this happen often.
Everything aligns perfectly, and things go smoothly.

When I get an idea, I act on it immediately! That's just how I am.
I checked the store information online right away.
It said I could book a consultation.

I wanted to see the types, materials, and textures in person, and I wanted to ask various questions directly, so I booked immediately.

The staff at the store were very kind and helpful.
There is nothing better than the real-life experience of seeing and touching the actual items at the store☝🏼
It makes it easier to imagine the finished product,

and you can actually experience
getting closer and closer to making it a reality.
That boosts my motivation even more,
and doubles the fun.

This led to something I had been wanting to do for several years:
opening a booth at a handmade flea market.

The T-shirts I initially thought I'd make just for fun as a trial
led smoothly to the handmade flea market booth
I had been wanting to challenge myself with.

I have experienced many times that when you take things you want to do and execute them one by one,
things move forward smoothly just like this.
At times like that, the well-known old tale "The Straw Millionaire" comes to mind.

Once I started making T-shirts like that,
the fun was unstoppable,
and I kept making more and more, falling deep into the rabbit hole💦

Following the flea market booth,
Creemaandminnealso led to opening shops there.
I was overflowing with heartfelt gratitude and joy
for those who made purchases.

I suddenly thought of that again, but
this is how I always keep falling into the rabbit hole.
