[Self-Analysis] If you were a condiment, what would you be?
Until a little while ago, my hairstyle was like Ringo Sheena's, but lately it's grown out completely, and with the rainy season, it's starting to spread out, so I'm Aya Saotome, and I've ended up looking just like IKKO-san.
Dondake~

There was a teacher profile section in the school newsletter for my third-year middle school daughter's school, so I took a look and saw the question in the title along with the reasoning behind it.
If you were a condiment, what would you be?
Math Teacher A:
Vinegar:
Because my personality is refreshing.
English Teacher B:
Sugar:
Because I'm easy on myself.
Science Teacher C:
Soy sauce:
Because it's my favorite condiment.
That's kind of boring, lol.
I guess it can't be helped.
I know they can only write safe things since students and parents will be reading it.
You actually wanted to write something more interesting, right? Isn't that right?
Teacher, I understand, so don't worry.
Sorry, sorry for saying it's "boring."
Teacher, thank you for your hard work today too!
So, that's the end of the 'reading the room' time.
Today, I'm going to take advantage of 'freedom of expression' and write what I like again. But even if it is 'freedom of expression,' a photo of yourself completely naked on an election poster is a no-go, right? At the very least, you should just stick to some image retouching to look younger. But if you retouch it too much, it's no longer anything but
an illusion~
(IKKO-san appeared again, lol)
Back to the topic of the title.
My daughter asked me,
"Mom, if you were a condiment, what do you think you'd be?"
So I thought about it.
I think this is something that comes up in psychological tests, but this time I want to do a self-analysis.
The answer I came up with is,
Chili oil.
Basically, I'm a condiment that you can take or leave, or rather, one you could even do without. However, if you have me, I add a punch that makes things delicious. That said, it really wouldn't be a problem if I weren't there, and no one would be bothered. People who like me really like me, and they might even pour me on in large quantities, though some people choke if they use too much.
So, with that in mind,
I am chili oil.
What do you think?
When I told my daughter this, she said,
"Yeah, you're definitely more chili oil than Tabasco."
That's what she said. By the way, my daughter said,
"I'm honey. I want to be someone who is super sweet to myself and also super sweet to others."
She actually said that!
Somehow, honey sounds cute, doesn't it?
But... is it just a mother's instinct that makes me feel a little uneasy? Haha.
Like that, comparing yourself to a condiment is surprisingly fun, so I hope you all try thinking about it too.
By the way, right now, the little bottle of chili oil on our dining table is empty. I should just throw it away and buy a new one, but for some reason, even though it's empty, it's still sitting there next to the soy saucedispenser—the king of condiments born in Japan and the pride of the world—in the hope that maybe one last drop will come out.
Watching my third-year middle school daughter make a face like Chiikawa while swinging that empty chili oil bottle around, saying, "I'm going to get the last drop out with centrifugal force!" makes me think, "Ah, I really need to go buy some," but I know I probably won't buy it until the next time I make gyoza.
And so,
I've managed to show that I am lazy and forgetfulby the presence of that chili oil on the table, and I've really managed to make it sound clever, haven't I? lol
My apologies.
So,
I've been noisy, persistent, and oily talking about chili oil since Sunday morning, so I'll wrap things up here for today.
By the way, do you have chili oil on your dining table?
If you don't...
Seoi-nage~ (Back-body throw!)
&
Full nelson~
In the end, IKKO-san had to show up after all lol
