[Small Art] Memories of a Great Era Housed in Austrian Commemorative Stamps ①
I am not a stamp collector, but whenever I see lovely commemorative stamps at the post office, I end up buying them.
Even those (like me) who have no special interest in stamps cannot help but be captivated by their beauty.
The photos are not great, but I would be happy if they convey even a little of the charm of these stamps.
Please enjoy.

The stamp commemorating the 300th anniversary of the birth of Maria Theresa was jointly issued on May 13, 2017, in Austria and four other European countries (Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, and Ukraine).

Issued in 2003
The burnished gold parts have a slight luster.
Special Series 'Famous Paintings in Austrian Collections'
This is one of the commemorative stamp series issued by the Austrian Post (Österreichische Post), aimed at introducing masterpieces housed in museums and collections within Austria.
The design and engraving (line engraving) were handled by the renowned stamp artist Wolfgang Seidel
It is a high-definition piece using combined printing (Stichtiefdruck + Rastertiefdruck) technology.
The actual item is truly beautiful.

Gustav Klimt, Koloman Moser, Otto Wagner, Egon Schiele
Klimt was the founder of the Vienna Secession, Schiele was the young icon of the Secession, Moser was a central figure in the Vienna Arts and Crafts movement, and Wagner was the master who laid the foundation for modern Viennese architecture.
A project honoring 'figures who symbolize modern Viennese art around 1900, such as the Vienna Secession.'

Issued by the Austrian Post as part of a series introducing the Leopold Museum collection and in honor of Egon Schiele's works.

Special printing using gold relief and foil stamping
The Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna houses and exhibits a vast collection of art and cultural assets once owned by the Habsburg family.

Portrait of Beethoven by Joseph Karl Stieler (c. 1820)
It features silver foil stamping, and Beethoven's signature is reproduced.

Portrait of Schoenberg painted by Richard Gerstl around 1907 (housed at the Wien Museum).

A cover of the piano score for 'The Blue Danube' by Kirsten Lubach, featuring the Johann Strauss statue in Vienna's Stadtpark in the background.

Issued in 2020, this stamp honors the achievements of the festival's founders, including Richard Strauss, Hugo von Hofmannsthal, and Max Reinhardt.
