Wrapped in a gentle sweetness: "Roasted Turnips with Sesame Miso Dressing"
Autumn is deepening more and more.
Speaking of autumn, there are potatoes, chestnuts, pumpkins...
It is a season when such hearty vegetables are irresistibly delicious.
However, on cold days when it feels like autumn is about to bid us farewell, I find myself wanting to eat turnips.
Simmered dishes are delicious, but
turnips that are roasted slowly while retaining just the right amount of texture become sweet—a seasonal treat.
They are delicious enough with just olive oil and salt.
When dressed in a veil of gentle, sweet sesame miso, they introduce you to an even greater deliciousness...

・Olive oil 1 tbsp

・Mix (A) together.

1. Roast the turnips.
Add olive oil to a frying pan, heat over medium heat, and roast until browned.

2. Place 1 and (A) in a bowl and toss together.

◼︎A little extra effort
・If you are concerned about dirt on the turnips, wash them by shaking them in water.
・Dirt tends to collect between the turnip stems, so use a toothpick or similar tool to scrape it out.

if you are concerned, it is a good idea to wash them in a bowl filled with water.
You can also stir-fry the turnip leaves with chirimen jako (dried young sardines),
and season them with salt and soy sauce to make a topping for rice.
A deliciousness that makes you want to keep eating.
Using the excuse of "tasting,"
I couldn't stop eating them right out of the bowl.
Just like you can't stop snacking,
the gentle sweetness and fluffy texture are addictive.
Please give it a try.
