Achieved 365 Days of Consecutive Posts! Interviewing Atsuko: What Is It Actually Like to Post Every Day?

On December 11, 2022, I achieved 365 days of consecutive posts.

The reason I couldn't write about the consecutive posts on the day itself is because I was caught up in my science-minded husband's 'fur seal incident' is the reason.

Man, this was one of my goals. Posting every day for a year.

Why did you make posting every day for a year your goal?

Because I wanted to write easy-to-read, easy-to-understand articles.
Even though I'm a writer, I would use the same things over and over or
go in circles, not knowing what I really wanted to say.
I thought I could brush up my skills by writing every day.

What was it actually like to post every day?

Atsuko has a regrettable personality where she can't get things done unless she's backed into a corner.

I was constantly posting right at the last minute, at midnight.
By the way, if you post exactly at midnight, it counts as the previous day!
I was nervous every day that my streak would be broken.

What were the things that made you happy?

There are two things.

1. I made more acquaintances in the world of note (across ages and locations).
Since I'm a coward and don't have many real-life friends,
making friends and acquaintances is genuinely a joy.
I'm also happy to be able to exchange thoughts.
Among all the social media I've been involved with, the world of note is the warmest.
It was also a fresh experience to realize how hard the staff members work at note place events.

2. My science-minded husband's rice series was chosen for the note editorial department's 'Top 5 Recommendations of the Week'.
I felt truly grateful that
so many people read it.

What are the top three most viewed articles?

1st place: 28,000 views

A monumental note that was chosen as a 'Featured Article of the Day' for the first time.
It's secretly frustrating that our rice has tasted better ever since.

2nd Place: 18,000 views

The sequel to the 1st place post. What on earth is the standard deviation of rice? Why is there a deviation score there...

3rd Place: 13,000 views

The sight that made my eyes pop when I went to the kitchen in the morning.
I named it 'The bowls performing the New Year's fire-fighting ceremony'
Heave-ho.

Everything was related to my science-minded husband...
Honestly, I'm frustrated, but I hope this can turn around and become my strength...

What I think I worked hard on is

At the Creator Festival in October 2022,
posting short-shorts for one month straight

I like short-shorts, and I thought I could write them... but that was not the case at all.
Creating 31 works was tough in reality. I managed to achieve it, though.
It's not just about impressions; there needs to be humor or insight in them.
It was also a gain to get to know other noters who have a passionate love for short-shorts.

What do you want to do from now on?

There are three main things I want to do
1. I want to continue posting every day
When I compare my writing from last December, a year ago, to my writing now,
it is clearly easier to read now.
I want to continue as much as I can to brush up my skills.

2. I want to start a series on 'How to Raise a Retired Husband'
Since three years have already passed, it's vast,
and there are many parts I don't know how to explain.
After all, he was a person who had only taken out the trash
once in 30 years.

I worried to the point of considering divorce, and there were times I felt deeply depressed.
The foundation is, after all, compromise.
If only one side keeps enduring,
it won't last long.
I believe it will be helpful to someone.

3. I want to start audio streaming
There are many people on note who do wonderful audio streaming.
Since my strong point is having a loud voice,
the desire I've had for a while to try it has been ignited.
I'd like to join someone else's audio stream
or do live streams as well.
(I'm a coward, though... shiver shiver)

Finally, to everyone who is reading this

There is a sense that the 100-year life era is being celebrated,
but in reality, it is a steady accumulation of how each person lives their life.

Things I could do until now
I can no longer do as I age...
But there are also things I have become able to do.

I will continue to weave the real feelings of a 61-year-old
in my notes from here on out.
