Why I somehow don't wear Herlipto when I go to House of Herme
When I go to Herme, for some reason, I don't wear Herlipto.
It's not that I'm consciously trying to do so, but before I know it, that's always how it ends up.

Of course, I love Herlipto clothes.
I'd love to wear them every single day of the year.
But on days that aren't special events or plans with friends, I feel a bit shy about showing up as if to say,
"I came in my best dress! Look at me!!"
I'm not competing with anyone, but
if that kind of atmosphere were to somehow develop, I wouldn't like that either.
So, I naturally end up choosing pants or simple tops, and it has become a routine of sorts to go in what you might call "slightly dressed down" clothes.
Even so, I keep stickers I've collected from store anniversaries and seasonal events tucked away in my phone case.
Letting my "love" for the brand show just a little bit, in a way that only those who know will understand—
that's probably just right for me.
(By the way, the doorman staff seem to be able to tell if someone is a first-timer or not, which is amazing.)
The other day, I visited Herme on a Friday.
I really wanted the pre-release cut-and-sew top,
and although I really wanted to go on Thursday when it was released, the timing didn't work out,
so I thought, "Today, since I got off work on time, is my chance," and headed to Omotesando without hesitation.

In times like these, I'm surprisingly quick to act.
As soon as I entered the store, I confirmed the item I was looking for and got in line at the register.
At Herme, the system is to place your order without bringing the product to the checkout counter.
After a moment of hesitation about whether to say the item name, show a screenshot, or point to it—
I said, "I'd like the new draped cut-and-sew top in white, please."
Not quite acting like a beginner, but trying not to look too seasoned either.
This is also a ritual I always do, a way to hide my shyness.
The staff member smiled and replied politely,
"I will go get that for you, please wait a moment."
And the moment that makes me grin a little is when I present my membership card at the register.
Looking only at my outfit, I might not look like a first-time customer,
but my purchase history is clearly listed in the app.
I don't know if they look at that and think, "Wow, you buy a lot." In fact, they don't say anything.
But I feel comfortable with a way of interacting where my "love" for the brand shows through without me having to say it explicitly.

Even on days when I'm not wearing Herlipto,
I truly love this brand.
Clearing my mind and facing it,
today was one of those quiet shopping days.
