The Strengths of People Who Forget Easily

Yesterday, I was talking about this with a friend, and
when I said, "Apparently, people who are forgetful are actually..."
they felt really relieved.
I was happy to hear that, so I'm sharing it.
To begin with, I'm actually very forgetful (lol). Because of that, my husband often points it out to me.
Conversely, my husband has an incredible memory.
For example, when we go grocery shopping, if he sees an acquaintance's car, he remembers the license plate number, so he can immediately tell, "Oh, that's Mr. A's car!" It's honestly a little scary... (lol)
So, when I don't remember the names or faces of people I've met once, he often nags me, saying that if I'm running a shop, I should at least remember that much (*´σｰ｀)
Aside from that, I frequently forget things quite easily, so I can understand why he says that...
Since I'm bad at remembering things, I've resigned myself to the fact that it's fine as it is, and I've half-given up on trying to force myself to remember.
But, there were actually times when I would ask myself, "Shouldn't I be making an effort?"
Then, one time, I asked someone who is quite an amazing person,
"I've always been someone who forgets things immediately. Why is that?"
and
the answer that person gave me at the time was
"People who forget are people who can forgive."
That was what they said.
Ah, I see...
It's true that in my experience, no matter how terrible things were done to me, I've always been able to forgive people.
People who forget = People who can forgive
It was a moment where something deep inside me was truly saved. This equation still feels very right to me.
And it seems it resonated perfectly with the friend I met yesterday, too.
As an aside,
after hearing that story,
I immediately told my husband.
"Apparently, people who are forgetful are people who can forgive everything. You're lucky! That I'm your wife!"
I said (￣ー￣) lol
My husband looked a bit displeased, though (bursts of laughter)
I got a little bit of revenge at the end♪ Hehehe... lol
