Now that we've come this far

it's finally the last step!!😆✨

Either one is fine😊

Primary Marketplace

Select Amazon.co.jp☺️

Royalty

You can choose between 35% or 70%.

When I published my first book, I chose 70% without thinking about it at all. lol

Usually 70% is fine, but there is actually a condition for this.
I will explain it next☺️

I will explain it next☺️

List Price

This part is a bit tricky, isn't it?🥹

You can set the price freely!

Since it was my first publication, I prioritized "getting people to pick it up first"‼️
I set "Harukana Ima" to the lowest price of 99 yen🤭

However, I didn't realize it at first, but there is something
I realized later

Even if you select 70%,
if it is 99 yen, the royalty will be 35%.

To get a 70% royalty,
you had to set the price to 250 yen or more😳

Here is an actual example

At 99 yen
the royalty is about 32 yen

Delivery cost is 0 yen
The rate is 35%

At 249 yen
the royalty is about 79 yen

Delivery cost is 0 yen
The rate is 35%

At 250 yen
the royalty is about 157 yen

Delivery cost is 3 yen
The rate is 70%

From the buyer's perspective, the price difference is only 1 yen, but
there is a huge difference in the amount you can receive.
This was quite a shock😅

If you choose the 70% royalty rate,
you need to be careful about the price range conditions.

Once you've decided on the price,
it's finally time to publish!!

Press the Publish Kindle Book button

Click.
Done!

Congratulations✨

This is the moment a Kindle author is born‼️

"Distant Now: Happiness is Already Here."
has been published for 99 yen😆😆😆✨️

And then I realize.
That tragedy...

Do you remember?

Actually, there is a sample page.

In the case of a picture book, since the number of pages is small,
the sample might reveal quite a bit of the content.

↓ Details here

After going on sale,
checking the sample on the actual sales page is

something I felt was very important.

The second picture book I created based on that experience.

I wanted to experience the 70% royalty,
so I set the price at 250 yen😊✨

Of course,
it is eligible for Kindle Unlimited!!

The process after publishing

Once you publish, it enters the review process.

If it says "In Review," it is currently being reviewed.

For your first publication,
it is safer to assume it will take about 72 hours☺️☺️

The second book passed the review relatively quickly!

Usually, it will be published in about 24 to 72 hours.😊

And once it passes the review,
your book will be listed on Amazon😭✨

It's the real thing!!😭✨

At this moment,
you really feel that you've published it, don't you?🤭

I am so grateful that you have already read my Kindle eBook,
and for the stars and reviews you've given me
I have nothing but gratitude🥹✨✨

The joy of receiving a review for a Kindle book
even when I don't know who wrote it
is absolutely incredible🥹🫶✨✨

Thank you so much‼️

#MakiKindleChallenge

Things I realized after trying it

If you proceed one step at a time,
it will definitely take shape.

Anyone can become a Kindle author.

If you have the desire to do it, you can definitely become one😊

Concluding the series on the publishing process

Thank you so much for reading this far😊

I would be happy if this record of my challenge
leads to someone else taking their first step✨

And so, the #MakiKindleChallenge continues.

Initially, my goal was to publish this series
as a Kindle book.

However, since publishing it
requires making the articles private,
I think I will leave them on note for a while.

The challenge is still ongoing.

There are failure stories, too.
There are many experiences I want to share.

I'm thinking I'd like to review my previous work articles,
and rewrite them
to make them easier to understand.

The Kindle challenge didn't end just because I published.

I will continue to enjoy it slowly from here on out☺️

I'm slightly suffering from burnout syndrome,

so I'll take a little break

and plan to continue once the children's school lunches resume
and I have more time😊

To everyone who has supported me this far,
thank you so much☺️☺️

※This article will be made private at the same time as the Kindle publication. ↓Click here for the detailed reason↓
