Mandala Art Workshop🎨

Since the beginning of this year, several people have asked me, "Aren't you teaching mandala art anymore?!"
So...

In preparation for next year, I decided to try teaching mandala art to some family members today as a trial run to restart my mandala art workshops.

This time, I decided to have them draw a simple version focusing on sacred geometry and the Seed of Life, without including Ryutai characters.

The Seed of Life is a "symbol representing the 7 days of creation," said to be when light was created.
It is formed by circles overlapping at the center of six circles.

It is the shape that all life creates first, and is also called the seed of life.

Keywords include creation and the birth of new life.

It is said to be useful for resetting the often chaotic lives of modern people, returning both mind and body to their proper rhythm, activating inspiration, or when starting something new.

It's a mandala art piece with a festive, New Year's vibe!

I think it took about an hour and a half in total?
At the beginning, there was some commotion with "I can't use the compass well!💢",
so we paused, meditated to calm our minds, and then started again.

Also, while drinking tea, we went through trial and error, discussing this and that, and I taught them step-by-step as they drew.

And here is the student's work.

It has a space-like feel!
It's already at a professional level! It's detailed and careful.

It was quite an intense and focused time.

It's also interesting how the atmosphere changes completely depending on the person drawing, even with the same design!

By teaching this time, I've also identified some challenges!
I'm looking forward to sharing the charm of mandala art with everyone next year!
