Modern society is an era where rapidly evolving science and technology and their applications have a significant impact on daily life and business. To meet the needs of this era, the Department of Liberal Arts in Technology aims to cultivate individuals who possess fundamental knowledge of science, technology, industrial products, and infrastructure technology, and who can appropriately understand and utilize technology in their social and professional lives.
Our curriculum covers a wide range of fields, from basic sciences such as physics and chemistry to the structure and function of industrial products, digital literacy, and an understanding of renewable energy. Students learn deeply about how to choose and use products, sustainable lifestyles that consider environmental impact, and the role of science and technology in society.
I would like to particularly emphasize that our department places importance on improving practical skills for daily life and the local community. Students have the opportunity to participate in local technology projects and work with the community to address real-world problems. Furthermore, through knowledge of infrastructure technology and energy management, they develop the ability to contribute to building a sustainable future.

Our Department of Liberal Arts in Technology provides education to deepen fundamental understanding of science, technology, industrial products, and infrastructure technology, and to improve literacy as citizens and professionals in a rapidly changing modern society. This department aims to help students make wiser choices and contribute to the construction of a sustainable society by understanding the impact of science and technology on social life and knowing the mechanisms of products and technologies used in daily life.
I would like you to pay particular attention to the fact that our curriculum emphasizes a balance between practical learning and theoretical knowledge. Through basic physics and chemistry, students learn about specific themes such as basic design of industrial products, material selection, and the use of renewable energy. Furthermore, by mastering digital literacy and the basics of AI and data science, they deepen their understanding of the importance of data in a digital society and how to utilize it.
In addition, we provide opportunities for students to tackle real-world challenges through collaboration with the local community. Through local technology projects and internships, students can put their knowledge into practice and experience social contribution.
