Before Going to Jinmiraisai 2025 Day 2
Hello. I'm ascle, and it feels like half my life is about to be dyed in MAN WITH A MISSION colors.
I was so excited that I ended up writing a ton of stuff to my friends, so I decided to throw it onto Note.
Apparently, this is a cesspool where you can dump whatever you want, so it's perfect.
What is "Jinmiraisai 2025"?
It's BRAHMAN's 30th-anniversary festival held at Makuhari Messe from 11/22 (Sat) to 24 (Mon/Holiday)!
Amazing!!
I didn't realize BRAHMAN was 30 years old! They're older than me!
3 days is incredible! That's not the scale of a single band's event! Amazing!
The LUNA SEA FES the other day was great, but this one isn't losing either!
The lineup of bands is also amazing!
This!!!!

It's too crazy. Seriously, it's too crazy.
I wonder why I didn't get tickets for all 3 days?
I got tickets for the middle one, Day 2!
This part is especially amazing~~!
It's an unbelievable timetable that feels like the Japanese rock scene has been condensed into a single day!
This is insane~~! I probably won't see a timetable of this level for the next 10 years.
It's just for me.
As soon as it was announced, I bought the ticket.
Since I like almost all of them a loooooooot, there are infinite points to look forward to.
Since I've already written it all out, I'm just going to talk through them in order.
HEY-SMITH 12:00~
A ska-punk band with impressive lighthearted trumpets and melodious power pop!
Stop The War
Dabdadan
Let Me Fly
Summer Breeze
I think these are the ones I like~
For now, I'm just a casual listener who throws their albums into my playlist, but they're all the type of melodic hardcore I like, so it's good~
Igari, the guitarist and vocalist, is friends with a loooooooot of band members, and he has quite a bit of interaction with Man With A Mission too.
Was it about four years ago? I remember them having a conversation on a special program for Love Shower, and they were livening up live houses together during the COVID-19 pandemic. They have that energy that makes you think, 'Yeah, they're from Osaka.' They're cool! I love them!
Since the songs are basically in English, I remember the gap between that and seeing them in person was huge.
They have twin vocals with a relatively high, young voice and a thick death voice, and the high voice is refreshing, kind of like 04 Limited Sazabys.
Just having the brass of the trumpet makes the lighthearted musical style feel like the power of instruments. Ska bands are great, aren't they?
Even though it's English, there are a lot of simple and catchy phrases, so it must be fun to sing along at a live show.
I definitely want to shout 'Stop The War'.
I'm looking forward to it~~!!!!!!
ORANGE RANGE 12:50~
The J-POP band that needs no introduction!
You know 'Ikenai Taiyou', right!
Loco Motion and such, well, they were a band that I had the image of being a generation older than us.
At least until this past May.
I saw them once in Kanazawa~
I didn't know, but songs like 'SUSHI Tabetai' and using a voice changer to make their voices robotic are super fun~~!
The members' appearances weren't as flashy as I expected, which was a surprise.
I thought they'd be more like playboys, but they had black bowl cuts (if my memory serves me right).
Their name recognition is just too high, so the venue was in a frenzy.
Of course, they played the killer tunes everyone knows, but the setlist and live performance were just top-notch.
It was just so much fun, I can't even explain it.
Amidst the loud band sound and piercing electronic noises, there were comedic lyrics and a floor that made you want to dance with a vertical rhythm.
Man~~~~~
It was seriously so much fun~
We were watching from the aisle at the very back, but every listener in front of us was singing along. It was the best, the best!
I really like 'Sekai ga Kawaru 5-byou Mae'~
I had it on repeat for a while.
They have a lot of addictive phrases. The voice changer effect felt so good, it was like I was tripping when I heard it at the venue.
I'm looking forward to it too much~~~~~!!!
SiM 13:40~
This is also a heavy metal band everyone knows!
Yes, they are a metal and rock band that just throws in death voices.
As for their characteristics... the vocalist has a really foul mouth!!!
But he's a gentleman! Is he a heel in wrestling???
Ah, I want MAH to point his middle finger at me and tell me to die~~~~~~~~~~!
Was it four years ago? I think I saw them for the first time at VIVA LA ROCK, and it was the best!!!!
'Die' is an I LOVE YOU from MAH, I won't accept any arguments.
KiLLiNG ME
Blah Blah Blah
These are famous and I like them too~
Many people probably know 'The Rumbling' and 'UNDER THE TREE' from Attack on Titan.
I like them too~
What's good about SiM is, above all, MAH's shout.
It comes down to this.
The secret death voice that even Jean-Ken Johnny wouldn't tell me the trick to.
I want to be bathed in that pressure at the festival's sound volume, to the point where the lyrics get crushed and I give up on trying to hear them~!
The sharp, intense rock sound that's like being stabbed with a knife and hit with a full swing of a bat is the best!
Naturally, headbanging is a must, and diving and moshing are mandatory!
Ah, this is the Japanese rock scene.
The best.
If I wore glasses, they would definitely break at such an intense live show.
This is it, this is it. Their devil-like visuals are also top-notch. Even the fans recognize them as devils. They're 90% real devils, right? I'll give you one of my lungs, so please make a contract with me~
What I like is BASEBALL BAT.
It's a big deal that various band members make cameo appearances in the MV, but more than that, the thrilling killer phrase is the charm!
K I L L Y O U !!
I want to shout it so badly. It's really refreshing.
If you're in a bad mood, you should listen to this song and engage in some destructive behavior.
SiM is the best~~
There is this dream track called REDLINE, which is like a J-ROCK version of We Are the World, created by MAH.
This is seeeeeeeeeeeeeeriously insane.
24 band members brought their own phrases and lyrics to create it.
It's truly incredible.
Quite a few bands performing at Zenmiraisai are involved in it too.
I doubt they'll perform it this time, but it's one of those songs I want to hear live someday.
Looking forward to SiM~~~~!!!!
ACIDMAN 14:30~
A quiet rock band!
Even though they're a rock band, I have a very quiet image of them.
No, wait, the songs are definitely punk rock, you know?
But what really shines is that emotional sense of loneliness that looks great in the evening scenery~~
That's right, they can handle emo.
Their word sense is also really good.
Like Buddhist themes or the mysteries of life.
It's just so deep, you know?
Like tacica? Maybe a bit more intuitive.
More of a sense of impermanence...? Something like that.
I've known about this band for a while, but I haven't listened to them thoroughly.
They've popped up in my playlists a few times, and I remember liking an ACIDMAN song I had added at some point.
I feel like it was a jacket with three kanji characters written in white on a black background~
I remember being surprised when I saw a tweet about wanting to do a karaoke session limited to light music club songs, and 'Akadaidai' was used in the work.
The image of the evening scenery probably comes from this song too.
Is it the fragile vibrato that makes it sound like they're singing in front of an electric fan?
That, I love how it feels like it has soul in it!
I'm looking forward to it!

Maximum the Hormone 15:20~
Yes, it's here.
It's finally here.
It's arrived~
I mean, you can't talk about the Japanese rock scene without Hormone, right?
Without a doubt, they are a rock band that forms the foundation of the current Japanese rock scene!
Do what you like, however you like!
Freedom is a word prepared specifically for Hormone!
Like, 'Put your music on streaming services!'
Or, 'If you're going to do limited-edition fan merchandise, please consider not making the competition so intense!'
There are little things I don't like, but...
Once you see them live, none of that matters.
Even if you're just a nuisance monkey who wants to make noise, here you can become the best listener enjoying it more than anyone else!
A parent who gave up all their hobbies to focus on family gets encouraged by Nao-chan and turns back into a rock kid!
Sure, there are unwritten rules, but if you surrender yourself to the sound and the frenzy, you'll naturally headbang, sing along, and do the Sperma dance!
It's not about following rules, it's that sense of unity where your own fun becomes the rule itself!
The lyrics are filthy as hell, but it doesn't matter! Let's empty our heads and get as filthy as we want!
The MC banter might feel cringey like watching a variety show, but let's laugh our heads off!
Hormone is the best at creating that frenzy where you can't stay sober.
I'm looking forward to the live show so much!
The Birthday 16:10~
The band I know the least in this day's lineup.
I can't think of a song that defines them, but I've known them for a long time, that's about the extent of my recognition.
Is it the raspy-voiced lead singer singing in a gritty way that's impressive?
They're relatively in my strike zone, but I only started liking this vibe after getting into gritty bands like The Cherry Coke$ or The Back Horn, so it's relatively recent.
This is growth. The range of sounds I can enjoy listening to is expanding.
So, this is the only 'new encounter' slot of the day, as I listen to almost everything else thoroughly.
I'm absolutely going to love them, so I'll refrain from listening to them beforehand to enjoy the emotional impact at the live show.
Looking forward to it!
MAN WITH A MISSION 17:00~
Yes. Nothing to say.
Thank you.
I love you guys!
Thanks for your hard work on the Asia tour.
Tanapai is at it again today, as always with his vitality.
I'll do my small part to support the disaster-stricken areas too.
Connect and Saisei Daigaku are also at the booth exhibition this time.
I want to hear new songs, but they aren't really festival-friendly, so maybe it's difficult?
If I had to ask for a wish, I'd want them to play a BRAHMAN song.
Like 'Sonokagiri', it would be the best if Tanapai sang it...
I'm looking forward to it.
See you at the venue.
G-FREAK FACTORY 17:50~
It's been about two years, I think?
A band I got into relatively recently.
That raspy, low, powerful vocal is so pleasant.
That's right.
I see them in the same category as The Cherry Coke$.
You know, these kinds of vocals make you feel the 'heat'.
They have a style of cramming words into the song, so they might be close to 10-FEET. The vocal quality feels quite similar too.
The BPM feels a bit more reserved, so it's a completely different color, though.
I seriously love 'Ameiro'!
I love it enough that I sometimes belt it out at solo karaoke!
A band I want to listen to while having a drink at the venue.
They don't use much electronic sound, but because of that, the 'stretch' of the vocals is amazing.
I had planned to go to the Yamabito Music Festival hosted by this band for real this year.
I couldn't go in the end, though ;;
It's really such pleasant rock.
For me, whose staple food is rock, it fits as naturally as saline solution.
I don't know if I'll have any energy left after Man With A Mission, but I want to enjoy it with all my might.
I want to bathe in it while chugging a highball in the back, but I have a feeling I'll end up rushing to the front as usual.
Looking forward to it!!!
10-FEET 18:30~
Anyone who likes Man With A Mission's rock usually likes them too!
Yes, they are also a 3-piece band leading the Japanese rock scene!
It's a festival.
A real festival!
You know, if you were to embody the pretty words rockers say, this is what it would look like.
That's how hot they are! They play rock that's dazzling and sweaty!
For better or worse, it doesn't feel like a job.
They're enjoying it with everything they've got.
They even change the setlist based on the tension of the moment.
Personally, the drums!
Those drums are insaaaaaane!
Q. Why does a 3-piece work?
A. Because the drums are insane.
The drums that hold together the guitar/bass guys who are playing whatever they want are amazing.
TAKUMA is the leader and does guitar/vocals, and he just does whatever he wants.
Changing the setlist on a whim, making unreasonable requests to the listeners.
The bass and drums that laugh and respond to that are amazing.
The voltage really keeps rising based on the vibe of the moment.
That's what a live show is! You can never experience it just from the recordings!
You don't need special production!
It's fun, so just enjoy it!!
It feels stupidly good!!!!
RIVER is a must, right?
The catchy phrases in Hello Fixer are also too fun.
I want to throw my towel around during CHERRY BLOSSOM again!
But right now, maybe it's the new song 'Spart Syndrome'.
It has a vibe like 'Dai Zero Kan', so it wouldn't be strange if they played it back-to-back.
It would be super hot if they did a medley.
Looking forward to it!!!
BRAHMAN 19:30~
The grand finale.
The host.
The band with a demon.
A band that everyone who likes Man With A Mission's rock likes.
They're clearly not ordinary people.
They have many songs with an intimidating worldview.
As the name suggests, it's Buddhist-themed.
Hot. Really hot.
If ACIDMAN is 'still', BRAHMAN is 'motion'.
There are many English lyrics, but there are many riffs with a sense of speed, and even though the bass is heavy, you get the urge to punch your fist into the air.
If you let a mob listen to them, they might power up.
There's this power that resonates from the bottom of your gut.
TOSHI-LOW is treated like a boss in this scene alongside Takeshi Hosomi, but anyway, it feels like he's watching over the entire rock scene. His horizontal connections are amazing, and he's involved in various activities like charity events for reconstruction and supporting live houses.
I thought, seeing his MC, maybe that weight of what he carries is what leads to that intimidation.
Anyway, the scale is huge.
A man that men fall in love with is that kind of man.
Seriously cool.
I cried when they played 'Junpuumanpan' after the hot MC at a disaster relief event I saw before.
I'm going to follow you!!!!
I felt that manliness that makes you want to say that.
Since they are the hosts this time and it's the 30th anniversary, they are super fired up, so I'm really looking forward to it.
The end
I wrote a lot and feel good now.
I got a pretty good number for the merchandise ticket, so I'm excited.
I don't have much luggage, but I want the cloakroom vinyl bag.
Will I be able to buy one???
I'm looking forward to it!!!!
I don't feel like my stamina will last, though!
Well then, I'm off to have fun!
