Self-Introduction | Fertility Journey in My 30s and My Precious Coffee Time
Nice to meet you.
Thank you for visiting.
My name is Asami, and I'm a coffee-loving woman in my 30s.
Today, I'd like to talk a little bit about my "fertility journey" and my "coffee time."
Before I knew it, five years had passed since I decided I wanted to have children.
I married my husband, who is the same age as me, in 2018, and we said, "Let's have kids right away," but...
After going through job changes, moving, fertility tracking, and fertility treatments...
It took five years until I finally conceived.
Honestly, I never imagined it would take this long.💦
Since we wanted to raise children while both working, we first decided to rethink "where we want to live and how we want to live."
As a result, we moved to my hometown and started a new life.
A little bit about my journey so far
2018.5 Married. Moved to the Kanto region where my husband lived.
2018.9 Changed jobs to a contract position.
2020.1 Resigned to aim for a full-time position.
2020.6 Decided to move to my hometown. Declined a job offer and started job hunting in my hometown.
2021.5 Successfully moved to my hometown and found a new job as a couple.
2022.1 Started fertility tracking (timed intercourse).
2023.1 Transferred to a fertility clinic. Tried artificial insemination but did not conceive.
2023.6 Conceived through timed intercourse.✨
2024.3 Gave birth to a baby girl.👶
And now, I am currently on my fertility journey for a second child.
The slightly positive relationship between fertility and coffee
My morning coffee time is my little joy.
While trying to conceive, I often hesitated, wondering, "Should I stop drinking coffee?"
But as I researched, I realized there are "options I can drink with peace of mind," and now I have found a way to enjoy coffee that suits me.
“Even while trying to conceive, don't give up on coffee time.”
This is an important theme for me to“stay true to myself and be positive during my fertility journey.”
Things I couldn't tell anyone, maybe I can talk about them here
It's hard to talk to people around you about fertility, isn't it?
There was a time when I was struggling with it all by myself.
That is exactly why,
on this note, I hope to share information little by little that can support others in similar situations, such as "small anxieties during fertility treatment" and "things about coffee and drinks you might be curious about."
I feel that there is still not much information out there, especially from the perspective of fertility and coffee.
That's why I would be happy if this reaches those who, like me, want to "enjoy both coffee and their fertility journey."
Thank you for reading this far.
I look forward to connecting with you from here on out.☕️♡
