Hitoiro Exhibition @ Fukuoka, the final day.
Hitoiro Exhibition @ Fukuoka.
The final day passed in the blink of an eye.
I am writing this on Wednesday, 6/28,
which is already 3 days ago.
Time flies once it's over...
On the morning of the final day, I left the hotel feeling a little sentimental and with a sense of unreality.

June 25th (Sun) Day 5, the final day
Chihaya-sanwas taking care of the gerberas and other flowers with her usual care.
Akoharuka-sanwent out to get more flyers printed.
I set up the venue...
The time before opening passed calmly.
*
Haruka-san attached a sign to the top of our mascot character, Futeki-kun.

We welcomed those who stopped by.
Several repeat visitors also said,
"It was ending today, right?" 🥲
*
Perhaps due to last night's night market, it was relatively quiet when we opened.
As time passed, it gradually became livelier.
Conversations blossomed with many different people.
In the midst of that...
Miyu-san from note came to visit!
Her gentle pink hair color suited her so well!
I always get so happy when I encounter wonderful colors.
Since last year, Miyu-san has contributed five collaboration pieces.
Creating from colors that strongly attract you,
encountering worlds I could never see on my own.
That is a great joy for me in my collaboration projects.
The joy I felt when Miyu-san's work arrived came back to me.
And watching her and her daughter enjoy the works in their own way, I felt immensely happy again, thinking how truly wonderful it was to have been able to create this space.
A fun article by Miyu-san filled with her Kurume trip experiences ✨
Since this was her first time meeting a noter, I am surprised and honored.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
*
Chihaya-san's daughter,Aoi-sanalso stopped by the venue every day.
And she enjoyed swimming through the venue with a smile.
Many wonderful friends invited by Aoi-san also came during the exhibition period.
They looked at everything carefully and gave us heartfelt feedback.
I could see Aoi-san's personality and her wonderful relationships with her friends.
I was so happy every day.
Thank you very much 🌸

Now, what shall we let sprout,
the color of the sun-drenched soil.

Haruka-san's 5th-day audio broadcast is wonderful this time too!
There was a lovely interaction with a parent and child ✨
Please give it a listen.
Picture books, cushions, and the child of color.
A little girl used the whole venue to play, which made us very happy, and even after she left, we talked about it many times, smiling each time.

14:00, 15:00... I find myself checking the clock more often.
Finally, it became 16:00.
Customers came until the very end.
I was very happy.
I was reluctant to leave... I wanted to keep talking.
We close the door and begin the teardown process.
We pack up in silence, diligently.
The music contributed to the collaboration project
is playing like an end roll... I'm about to cry.
Many things come to mind.
Those who came twice or three times.
Those who showed me their own work.
Stories about sensitivity and the five senses from people in professions involving children.
The influence of color on feelings at evacuation centers during the earthquake disaster.
The enthusiasm of people working on various things.
Wonderful encounters with the artists!
Many people also had connections to Ishikawa Prefecture.
At closing time, the rain was falling quite hard.
I thought it had held up well until then.
Even though it was the rainy season, thanks to almost no rain and it not being too hot on most days, I think many people were able to go out easily.
And,
newspapers, radio, the gallery's Instagram, web media, and word of mouth all took everyone by the hand and brought them here.
I believe that the encounters that could only be had on this day in Kurume, the episodes and thoughts that could only be heard from those specific people, and the words that remained in my heart will breathe life into my future creative activities.

became a wonderful bouquet.
A color scheme I couldn't have painted even if I tried.
It is a colorful display created by everyone.

They have reached me directly.
I will treasure them.
Among them, there is one illustration.
The faceless "Imidazolone Yellow" that appeared in the picture book.
It was drawn by a child from Haruka-san's audio broadcast✨
Since I haven't received permission from everyone,
I'm sorry for the blurred image.
The theme of my personal Hitoiro Exhibition is "Imagination"!
So please use your imagination!
To everyone who provided flower support,
to everyone who sent flowers and messages,
to everyone who participated in the collaboration project,
to everyone who cooperated with the collaboration works,
thank you so much for enlivening the Hitoiro Exhibition!

After 7 PM, we managed to finish moving everything out.
The three of us went to a very atmospheric local chicken restaurant, and when we toasted saying, "Thank you for your hard work,"the restaurant staff alsosaid in unison, "Thank you for your hard work!"(You can also hear it in the audio broadcast above!)
I was really surprised.
I'm so happy.
Kurume is a great place.
It's lively, the food is delicious, and they love their work!
During this past week, even when I was impatient or flustered, the two of them were truly kind and supported me with their usual warmth.
My gratitude is endless.
I am so glad you invited me.
I am truly, truly glad that we were able to proceed and carry this out with everyone.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!
