The Day Plans Shifted, Realigning the Rudder of My Heart | TO THE SEA ep.5
Before noon, a message about an appointment arrived.
The content was simple, yet for some reason, it stirred something deep in my chest.
This kind of 'bad feeling' is difficult to handle because you can't explain the reason for it.
So, I drew a card: TO THE SEA.
Just the word 'sea' made my breathing expand a little.
What this card was saying sounded like, 'It's okay not to be afraid,'
and 'Let's get things properly aligned.'
A bad feeling might be less about whether it will come true,
and more of an alert telling you to 'make adjustments to protect yourself.'
For example, don't rush your reply.
Confirm the parts you don't understand.
Propose the time and conditions yourself.
Just by doing that, anxiety turns into practical arrangements.
Specifying the time from my end.
I think that wasn't 'running away,' but a move to steer the rudder again.
Especially when it feels like there's no solid ground, just like being on the sea,
it becomes important to create your own 'framework'.
Start and end times, duration, purpose, and what to prepare.
The more you confirm, the calmer your feelings become.
TO THE SEA doesn't tell you to charge into the middle of the problem.
Rather, it encourages you to 'return to a wider perspective and smooth out the flow.'
You can't stop the waves, but you can hold the rudder.
When I could think that way, the bad feeling changed from 'fear' to 'adjustment'.
If you ever feel that unexplained stirring, too,
I want you to try adding just one confirmation without denying it.
Just like going to the sea, to broaden your perspective.
What is the one thing you want to 'confirm' first right now?

TO THE SEA。
