SOUNDSCAPES 01

Hello!
The rainy season has officially been declared over in the Kansai region, and summer is finally here in full swing.
The very next day, we held SOUNDSCAPES 01 at Umi no Der Kiten Suma, where guests enjoyed summer music that blended into the scenery while watching the ocean and listening to the sound of the waves.

As our guest, we invited Nakamura-san, who works as a BGM selector at places like Bar Gospel in Kobe, a gathering spot for music connoisseurs, and the popular Osaka establishment yacipoci, a record-playing stand bar where you can order their signature beer poured in seven different ways.

I have compiled the music I selected for this event into a playlist, so please enjoy it on Spotify if you are interested.

For this selection, I focused on music that captures the refreshing breeze of summer, the ocean, and the sparkling sun, paired with tracks that have a bit of a bounce to them to help shake off the lingering lethargy of the heat during an energy-filled afternoon.

The genre selection is diverse, featuring content you can enjoy ranging from indie pop to bossa nova, soul, dub, afrobeat, jazz, and folk.

I have arranged the tracks in an order that reflects the changing light and temperature as we transition from daytime into the evening!
