Living with a family of 5 and 2 cats in 60 square meters

Two adults, three children, and two cats.
Here, I will write about the realistic daily life of our family of five plus two cats living in a 60-square-meter home,
while sharing tips on living, interior design preferences, time spent with our cats, and stories about our general goods shop, 'koganeko'.

The issue of family members and house size

Our children are one boy and two girls.
The children have different genders...
This is actually a big problem.
If the genders are different, we have to give them separate rooms. Furthermore, the number and variety of necessary items increase significantly.
And, as they grow,
The boy's body gets bigger and bigger.
The girls' clothes, accessories, and belongings increase infinitely.

Can we really live in 60 square meters?

Actually, before moving to our current home, we lived in a house more than twice as big, thinking about the children growing up in the future...
So, I was anxious every single day.
Would things overflow? What would we do if we couldn't put them anywhere? Would it be stressful?
To try and dispel my anxiety even a little, I searched the internet as much as I could to see if there was anyone else living a similar life.

And now, it has been nearly a year since we changed our lifestyle from a detached house to an apartment. In addition to the children who are naturally growing bigger, we also welcomed two cats.

But it's okay! We are managing to live here!

Thinking back, there were many spaces that were just wide but not fully utilized.
Maybe there aren't that many things if you carefully select them.

The children are at an age where their personal belongings will increase even more from now on. I have concerns about the future. That's why I am still struggling with 'organizing things' today.
And this might continue from here on out.

Facing the house and things every day.

If I could share the ingenuity and realizations from such days with someone, it might surely become a hint for someone else holding similar worries. I hope to lighten the anxiety of people like myself who were wandering in search of hints for living in a small space back then.
