How to get natural farming Japanese vegetables in London?
As I wrote in yesterday's post, I often go out to London on Wednesdays.
My number one goal is to buy organic vegetables at the farmers market🍅
And then, to pick up a box of Japanese natural farming vegetables (though they actually come in a bag🤭)🥦
The person who grows these vegetables is Ikuko Suzuki of "Namayasai"✨
You can buy the vegetables she grows from mid-April to early December every year.
One vegetable box costs 14 pounds.
Individual items can also be purchased✨ (minimum 10 pounds or more)
The good thing about "Namayasai" is...
that she delivers vegetables harvested on the same day👏
The freshness is completely different from vegetables delivered by supermarkets or organic delivery services!
Please refer to the articles below (Part 1 and Part 2) for why she started growing vegetables✨

Delivery locationsrange from high-end Japanese restaurants, to Japanese corporate offices, or the homes of representatives who have signed up for group purchases.
Depending on the order volume, she sometimes transports them by small truck, or Ikuko-san sometimes travels around London in a peddler style, using public transportation like buses and trains while pulling a cart loaded with cardboard boxes full of vegetables.
So, the pickup locations for deliveries in central London are...
On Tuesdays, it's at the Japanese restaurant "Tombo" near South Kensington Station.

Since I plan to visit during the lunch meetup (Magic Insole Salon👠) tea party on December 6th, I think I'll try the matcha Mont Blanc below🤭
Wednesday vegetable deliveries are at the udon restaurant 'Koya' in the Soho area.
The kabocha udon and three types of pickles (pumpkin, melon, and Jerusalem artichoke) posted on 'Koya's' Instagram.
The pickles must be from Namayasai vegetables🎃
Since I have a self-care practice session on Zoom, as well as Instagram & YouTube lives on Tuesdays, I almost always request Wednesday delivery...
It looks like deliveries for this year end in mid-December, so I think the 11th is the last chance?
December 11th is the first in-person meetup for the Magic Gut Health Salon (for UK residents🇬🇧)✨
I'm thinking of offering to place a joint order for a vegetable box if any participants would like one at that time...
So, here is an introduction to the Namayasai vegetables I picked up yesterday✨
Spinach

Red meat radish

Leeks

Daikon radish

Sweet and sour pickled daikon and yuzu🍊

A paper with the contents of the vegetable box, recommended ways to eat them, and cooking methods is included.

The front is in Japanese, and the back is in English🇬🇧
They deliver not only to London but also to various other areas, so if you are interested, please check the delivery area on their website.
Since I can't grow my own vegetables yet, this is a real lifesaver.
Vegetables from farmers' markets aren't bad, but as far as natural farming vegetables available in the UK right now, Namayasai is the best🥰
I haven't met Ikuko-san in person yet, but since we've talked on the phone and exchanged emails, I have a sense of what she's like, and it's reassuring to see the face of the producer🍀
The harvest will end soon, and Namayasai vegetables won't be available until April, but I'm looking forward to spring.
