The tragedy that started with roast duck. My 'little boat' revival mission after my tooth fell out right after a cleaning🚣♀️🦷
The tooth next to my front tooth (the third one) popped right out🦷💦 Actually, the same thing happened four years ago. You can see what happened then here↓
I was eating Booja-Booja chocolates and munching on rice crackers when I felt something hard rolling around in my mouth... I took it out and it was a tooth🦷😅
Actually, there was a warning sign. When I was eating roast duck at the Chinese restaurant where we held our girls' lunch on Wednesday, a hard piece of duck skin got stuck in my tooth, and it chipped a little.
At that time, A, who was at the lunch, said, 'I'm currently paying 4,000 pounds (about 850,000 yen) for dental correction and whitening,' so I thought I should go for a dental cleaning soon too. When I got home and checked my teeth, I could see some darkening between my front teeth and the ones next to them, so I thought I really should go, and I could also have them look at the chipped tooth...
So, I called my favorite local dentist on Thursday morning, and they said, 'We can see you at 11:30 AM,' so I hopped on my bike and went🚲 The cleaning took about 45 minutes, and maybe because the chipped part wasn't that big, they just skipped over it and I went home🏡 The cleaning cost 170 pounds (about 36,400 yen). It would probably be double that in London😂
I went home feeling great with my clean teeth, made some tea, and was eating Booja-Booja chocolate and rice crackers when my tooth popped out😢 The time was 5:45 PM, and they were open until 6:00 PM, so I frantically called the dentist and managed to get an appointment for today (Friday) at 3:30 PM😮💨
As for me, I knew the root of the tooth that came out was still there, so I thought if I could just get it to stay put until my temporary return to Japan in September to visit 'Hashimoto Dental,' I could make it work.
A different woman than the dentist on Thursday helped me. As I hoped, she cemented the tooth that came out back in. She emphasized, 'It might only last a few weeks, is that okay?' but when I said, 'I'll try not to chew on it as much as possible to make it last, and if it comes out again, I'll be back,' she kindly said, 'I don't want to make you pay too much, so I hope it lasts.'
I had heard from a friend that 'as long as the root remains, Dr. Hashimoto can do something about it,' so it looks like I'm going to put that to the test😂
“We bought state-of-the-art machinery from Germany in April, so as long as even a fragment of the root remains, we can precisely recreate the tooth with ceramic, so you can leave it to me with peace of mind (I won't dare say 'leave it to a big ship'😂)”
“Even if, by some chance, Ranmika-san's front tooth comes out, as long as the root remains, it can be beautifully restored🦷”
So this is what Dr. Hashimoto meant!
This is a tooth where the crown and base of a molar came off, leaving only the root, and it was said it would need to be extracted.
We created a tooth with CEREC, completed it in one day, and set it. (by Dr. Hashimoto)
I learned some details from the Instagram post. (The doctor started Instagram, huh🤣 First post on November 19, 2025) Even though he only has 16 followers😂
I am currently inquiring about how much it will cost. Well, will my tooth, which only has the root left, be saved by this new technology... I will write another article as soon as I know the situation.
For now, I will eat carefully while trying not to let the tooth they cemented back in come out😅
