3rd Series ✨ UK Chapter 🇬🇧 Chapter 9
Back in London, we started looking for a place to live together.
We visited real estate agents almost every day
looking for a one-bedroom property,
but the lack of motivation from real estate agents in this country is the worst in the world 💦
Most of them just said,
"We don't have any vacancies right now, so leave your contact info and we'll call you later."
That was all they would say.
One agent even told us,
"We expect to get information on a good property today, located 20 to 50 doors down the same street as this office, just a 2-minute walk away."
It's impossible for something to be 20 to 50 doors away and only a 2-minute walk.
It was obvious they were just making things up 😓
Of course, we never heard back from that agent,
and even though we tried over 10 other places,
several days passed without a single call back 💦

The housing situation in London at the time was very much a seller's market 😅
Real estate agents only cared about clients looking to buy rather than rent 😂
Since a one-bedroom apartment offers the lowest commission,
it wasn't profitable for them, so I couldn't blame them for being unfriendly.
Living in the UK makes you increasingly patient and resilient.
While feeling anxious like this,
the only real estate agent run by a Jewish person
introduced us to a good property.
Richard's persistence in following up paid off 🍀
We were scheduled to move in on November 13th!
However, in this country, you can't feel at ease until you've actually moved in 🇬🇧
Even though the English conversation school I was going to attend was starting on November 12th,
I was filled with anxiety.
Actually, since returning to the UK,
I had been staying at his friend's house.
It was a stylish home that looked like it belonged in an interior design magazine,
and we were given our own bathroom and bedroom, living in comfort...
The owners of this house were an artist couple 💕
The husband was a composer (who worked on the music for a film starring Brad Pitt)
and the wife was a violinist 🎻, a very elegant pair ✨
They were vegetarians 🍆, drove a hybrid car 🚙,
and were a wonderful couple who cared about the environment 🌈
While listening to the sounds of piano and violin every day,
we both got plenty of sleep and recovered from the fatigue of our long journey 🍀
On October 31st, there was a Halloween party at this house 🎃,
and I helped with the decorations and even dressed up as Sadako from The Ring to liven things up 🤣

Everyone participated in various costumes,
like devils, witches, and Frankenstein ✨
A friend who brought their instrument and the husband
held a mini-concert, and we had a wonderful time.
Our new home was decided,
and the day my English school started was approaching.
To be continued...
Next time is the final chapter of the series.
Look forward to it~ 🌈
