My Style: How to Create Digital Collage Art 2

Hello!
I'm Ten Aoshiba,
and I love drawing and sign language.

This time, I will introduce the second of my own methods
for digital collage art,
which is "using image materials."

I am explaining this using Clip Studio Paint,
but I think you can do something similar
in other apps as well.

[My Style: How to Create Digital Collage Art 2]

"Ao, Stamps, and Fireworks"

[Steps]

1. Apply a texture to the background, which will be the bottom-most layer.

2. Prepare the background image on the layer above it.

3-1. Prepare the main illustration.

3-2. Add a border using "Layer Property" -> "Border effect."

3-3. Copy the layer -> "Rasterize" the bottom layer
-> Fill it with the shadow color
-> Use the "Move Layer" sub-tool to shift it diagonally.

How to rasterize

*This part is a bit tricky, but
adding shadows really brings out the collage feel.

4-1. Similarly,
prepare an image that looks like a sticker.

4-2. Add shadows to the stamp as well -> "Gaussian Blur"

5. Apply textures to each one.

6. Display everything.
The layers look like this.

*I have omitted the gray fill layer
used for white cutouts from this explanation.

And it's finished!

Introducing Kasutera-san's article

I'd like to introduce the article that
inspired me to draw stamps this time♪
This illustration by Kasutera-san is absolutely wonderful.
