Conclusion: Housewives can be web writers (Start with note!)

When you search for 'housewife web writer,' you often see advice like 'start with CrowdWorks.'

Of course, that is one option, and it's fine to try it, but honestly, I don't strongly recommend it.

If you start with CrowdWorks, the unit price is often too low, which leads to burnout.

Also, there are sometimes suspicious jobs mixed in, so it's quite difficult for a beginner to filter them out.

With note, you can start writing from the day you create an account. You don't need to worry about SEO at first either (you can rely on AI later).

The time it takes to "just publish one article" is incredibly fast.

4. You can write with just a smartphone

This is surprisingly significant for housewives. There are days when you can't even find the time to open a computer, right?

Since you can do everything from drafting to publishing on the note smartphone app, you can write even from under the covers after putting your children to sleep. I also tap away on my phone quite a bit lol

In my case, I also have a job, so I think about the structure on the commuter train and write for just 30 minutes after the kids are asleep.

What about people who "have no experience"?

If you try to write as a "job" right away, the hurdle suddenly goes up, doesn't it?

But with note, you can start by writing for yourself first.

Since you aren't delivering it to anyone, it's okay if you fail.

There are no deadlines, so there is no need to rush.

As you write, it naturally becomes your track record (portfolio).

What if you don't know SEO?

When writing articles, it is said that SEO (structuring content to be easily found by search engines) is important.

But now, we live in an era where AI can help with a significant portion of that, even without that knowledge.

I use an AI called Claude to help me think through article structures and headline ideas.

Thanks to that, I have become able to write the articles I am commissioned to do as a web writer in about 1.5 hours per article.

The 3 specific paths I took to get jobs from note

I am a working mom and a company employee who works short hours on weekdays.

Surprisingly, the more down-to-earth stories I told, the more reactions I received.

3. I was approached by someone who read my articles

Then, one day after I had been writing for a while, I received a message from someone who had read my articles asking, "Would you be willing to write an article for me?"

I have pitched and applied for jobs myself, but I also started receiving requests naturally.

Even with my busy full-time work schedule, I was able to reach this starting point.

By the way, I don't want you to feel hopeless, but I have been using note for five years. Haha.

But there were no deadlines, no forced article topics, and I was just writing what I wanted to write.

You don't need to write about anything amazing when talking about achievements.

Just:

Just write it as if you are introducing yourself, like this.
