A designer friend of mine created a logo for me to support the publication of my short story collection! They read my short stories and were able to pick up on parts of my inner thoughts that I hadn't even been able to put into words myself. I was truly surprised and so happy...

They are also creating post templates and more, so if you are interested, please let me know✨ I will introduce you right away◎

The motif uses the initials 'a' and 'k' from Ando Kori to represent a clock and a windmill, based on the themes of 'modest daily life' and 'love' that I cherish when I create stories◎

They came up with a design concept based on the idea that they want people to feel 'a world where a windmill turns in a refreshing, gentle breeze, and time flows slowly' from my work.

The reason for the clock is...
To evoke a sense of daily life and time (morning and night, work and private life, past, present, and future). The vertical line of the 'k' represents the clock hand, and by pointing it upward to the right, they envisioned 'a positive, bright future' from my work.

The reason for the windmill is...
Because it carries meanings of good fortune, overcoming difficulties with ease, and prosperous business (with the hope that I can always work energetically).
Also, the vertical line of the 'k' represents duality, such as:

・The place I am now / 'Somewhere' in the world
・My 'ON' self / My 'OFF' self
・Myself / The public
・Myself / Someone (family, lover, friend) who supports me.
They incorporated the image of being supported, as in 'I am who I am because someone else is there,' into the design.
The entire design is infused with the following wishes:

・May good fortune come to both the readers and the author.
・May the author be able to engage in writing activities with energy.
・May readers be able to replenish their energy with 'kindness and love' to get through their days through my work.
They put all these thoughts into it✨

The only requests I made were about the color scheme and the origin of my pen name (they told me, 'That's a dad joke!'😂), and my friend came up with almost everything else regarding the design content and settings! I am truly moved!
