A Happy Coincidence

My child Konamiru has recently been going through a 'no' phase in the Japanese version,
making mornings quite difficult.
But,
today, they were ready to head to daycare
30 minutes earlier than usual.

I have to go now, right?
If I miss this timing,
I might end up having to carry them again!
Thinking that, we walked outside.

Yes, even though we usually go by bike or car,
since we were early, we walked,
taking it slow,
stopping on the way to pick up pebbles,
touching flowers,
holding hands,
walking in a line,
and checking out the pictures on buildings on our way to daycare.

What is this! I'm so happy!

And,
usually they don't want to go into the daycare,
and on days they have day service, we wait outside together until the pickup comes,
but for the first time today,
they made a gesture that meant '(wait inside)',
so I was able to drop them off at daycare
and head home right away.

What? This peaceful morning,
what does it mean??
Is this a reward?

Well then, as a reward, I'll buy some watermelon juice
that my body will love and have a celebratory toast!

When I went to the convenience store to do that, what caught my eye was
this.

A strip-style checklist notepad.

I always love Mayu-san's
'I got it done today too!' posts,
and they fill me with respect
and give me the strength to do my best too.

I had previously asked Mayu-san about it,
saying 'That notebook? Notepad? It's nice!', and I knew it wasn't easy to get,
so I thought I'd imitate her with this checklist notepad!

Thinking that, I went home,
drank my reward juice,
and was surprised when I opened X!
