Rurouni Kenshin Magazine Summer 2025
I got it!! RuroKen Magazine!!
It was brought up on the MagiLove radio show, and after hearing the two of them getting so excited while flipping through the booklet in the booth, I couldn't sit still anymore and headed to the bookstore (I wanted to pick it up and buy it in person rather than ordering online)!
Man, I was so satisfied. I can confidently say that if you're a "RuroKen" fan, you won't regret buying this!
There are many highlights, but for me, the best part is definitely the "30th Anniversary Shikishi Gallery"!!!
Super famous, top-tier manga artists who have a connection to Nobuhiro Watsuki-sensei have contributed illustrations and messages for RuroKen

I want you to see for yourself who is in the lineup (well, you can find it easily if you look it up, but still), so I won't list their names here. I recommend reading it without any prior knowledge, as I think your excitement will skyrocket with every page you turn, haha. For those who love "projects where other manga artists draw characters from their favorite manga," this is irresistible, and I think it's worth getting the magazine just for this section alone.
There is also a special interview with Watsuki-sensei and a conversation section where behind-the-scenes production stories are shared, making it a very rewarding read. This issue focuses on the Shishio arc, so perhaps there could be sequels covering the Jinchu arc or the Hokkaido arc in the future...!? And talk about fighting games and talk about special moves come up too! I'm so happy! I've written an article about this before, so if you're interested, I'd love for you to read that as well.
As a personal anecdote, I used to own all the volumes of the original comic book version, but at one point, due to poverty, I had no choice but to sell them all and let them go... Later, when my financial situation recovered, I ended up buying the entire Kanzenban (complete) edition. The cover art is different between the original version and the Kanzenban version. This magazine also includes a list of comic book cover art, and I read it feeling nostalgic, remembering things like, "Oh, that's right, it was this illustration!"
