Single woman in her 30s, life is absolutely wonderful
I am 32 years old this year.
While those around me are talking about marriage, childbirth, and buying homes,
I spend my days immersed in my work and hobbies all by myself.
It is not a bluff or anything like that,
I truly feel that living is incredibly fun.
One of the major factors for this is undoubtedly the fact that I distanced myself from my family.
Since turning 30, I have had absolutely no contact with my family.
The reason why I am keeping my distance from my family
is as I wrote in a previous article.
I had to listen to what my parents said,
I had to prioritize family matters above all else,
but I have been freed from those curses, and my feelings have been liberated.
I will live my life as myself, in my own way.
Ever since I decided that, living has just been fun.
What do I want to do, what do I want to be,
I can do the things I want to do and think I want to do.
For me,
this is something that seems obvious but was not actually a given.
The time I spent at my parents' house was truly hell,
and I was always thinking about
how I could end my life.
Be grateful to your parents, or you will be punished.
People sometimes say that to me, but
when a child is suffering,
and they are aware of it,
is it really right for parents to force them to walk on a set path?
I am living happily and enjoying every day.
So, I would like them to stay out of my life as much as possible from here on out.
Another factor is that my income has increased.
Compared to my 20s, I have more money to spend freely.
I was never interested in houses or interior design,
so I keep my rent low and spend that money on cosmetics and my hobby of watching baseball games.
Traveling to other regions for games,
watching from slightly better seats,
I can now do things that were difficult to do in my 20s.
It is not that I want to be rich,
but I think a certain level of income is necessary to enjoy life.
Now, I can say with confidence, 'Living is fun, I am happy.'
