There is no need to be anxious about having your job taken by AI. This is because there is a sanctuary that AI can never imitate and only humans can enter.
1. Local 'grassroots sales' are impossible for AI
We are developing the 'Regional Revitalization Cooperation Squad DAO.' Akky-san, the manager in Kotohira Town, Kagawa Prefecture, is stationed at a local coworking space every Thursday, holding free AI workshops that anyone can attend.
His current worry is, 'People from outside the town gather, but I want to attract more people from within the town.' If you throw this challenge at AI, it will return efficient answers like 'run SNS ads' or 'post targeted content.' However, such smart methods are not what truly work in a region.
Visiting restaurants one by one to ask them to display flyers
Showing up at local meetings to speak to people directly
Standing in front of the station with a placard to promote that 'we are doing this!'
These gritty actions of 'using your feet' and 'breaking a sweat' are the only way to win the trust of a region. Only these movements accompanied by embodiment cannot be replaced by AI.
2. The value that cannot be hacked, seen in 'hand-kneaded udon'
I felt this during my recent conversation with Udon Ichigo-san; the value of his 'pure hand-kneaded udon' lies in the fact that he uses no machines at all, kneading it with his own hands and feet.
You can ask AI 'how to make delicious fukujinzuke' or 'the optimal water content for udon.' But the experience itself of actually kneading the flour, breaking a sweat, and handing it to the customer in front of you saying 'Sorry to keep you waiting!' is a 'human-only sanctuary' that cannot be hacked.
I am all for consulting AI about methods and strategies. Yesterday, I even had AI analyze the compatibility between DAO managers and supporters based on MBTI (personality test). But it is our job as humans to take those analysis results, actually go meet them, and build relationships.
3. Muscle training in the AI era is 'reaction' and 'practice swings'
I broadcast this Voicy every day as a 'practice swing' without a script. If I asked AI to 'write an easy-to-listen-to script,' the broadcast might become more polished.
But I dare to speak on the fly, keep my brain spinning, and squeeze out the next words. This training in 'reaction art' is muscle training for me.
No matter how much AI evolves, the instantaneous power when facing someone in front of you and the heat that radiates cannot be trained except through daily practice swings.
