Where 'Latest Digital' Meets 'Artisan Analog'. Experience the Nostalgic Yet New Atmosphere of Mando
I went to see
The Mandalorian & Grogu!

The way it blends 'latest digital' with 'artisan analog' techniques creates a nostalgic yet
new atmosphere that is simply the best.
It has been 48 years since the original release in 1978.
It is now a long-running series on par with 'Otoko wa Tsurai yo (Tora-san)', but
I never get tired of it.

Even though this is a spin-off, it was packed with
the essence of 'Star Wars (SW)'
to an incredible degree☺️.
However... while watching, I felt a
strange sense of analog...
Could it be that
Grogu (Baby Yoda) is
a puppet rather than CG?

This indescribable nostalgia
is reminiscent of the early SW films,
and as a fan, it feels
irresistibly comfortable.
Many species related to Jabba the Hutt
also appear in the film,
which only accelerates the excitement!
The presence of Jabba in the early SW films
is truly immense, after all.

It's also fun to see
various other creatures.
The little creature that
fixes the spaceship
also had a great personality.
What surprised me even more was
the scene where they storm the lair of Jabba's twin cousins.
The movement of those guard robots is what you call 'stop-motion animation', isn't it...❗️
I was moved that they dared to use such a classic technique,
reminiscent of the skeletons from the old 'The 7th Voyage of Sinbad'.
(Original title: The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, produced in 1958)
It is truly the pinnacle of entertainment, enjoyable from start to finish without a moment to breathe!
I have no choice but to sign up for Disney+ immediately
and catch up on it...❗️
