Hitoiro Exhibition 2023 Collaboration: Verditer Blue 🦋
I will be participating in Asami Ishino's "Hitoiro Exhibition" project.
The second installment is Verditer Blue, "The color of thinking of you."
It is a pigment made from copper carbonate, isn't it?

Modest and gentle,
while possessing a presence here,
a blue that seems capable of spreading infinitely.
I have remade a palm-sized fairy tale about the Chestnut Tiger butterfly, which has exactly that color.
Together with the Chestnut Tiger butterfly 🦋
"Grandpa! Please wait for me."
Mio climbed the stairs carrying flowers and incense sticks.
There was a large tree beside the grave of Grandpa's ancestors. The leaves extending from the branches covered the grave, and even in summer, a cool breeze flowed there.
Mio comes to visit the grave with Grandpa every year.
Recently, Grandpa's eyes and legs have become weak, and he can no longer climb the small, steep stairs.
Grandpa shielded his eyes with his hand at the bottom of the stairs, watching over Mio.
When Mio stood in front of the grave, cicadas began to chirp in the large tree. The light and breeze spilling through the trees gently enveloped Mio.
As Mio was offering incense, a blue Chestnut Tiger butterfly fluttered around her hands.
"The butterfly came again."
Mio said when she returned to Grandpa.
"Is that so? They say butterflies are vehicles for the souls of the departed."
"Did Grandpa's ancestors come to see us?"
"That's right. It is said that the protection of one's ancestors is at work. Butterflies like clean air and can sense good energy."
"Hmm. It was circling around me."
"Is that so? Butterflies are drawn to those with pure and clear hearts."
"It's blue and beautiful."
"The Chestnut Tiger is a butterfly that travels across the ocean. It might be a messenger from heaven."
Grandpa said this with a smile, then took Mio's hand and began to walk slowly.
