Better late than never...
It seems my pneumonia is recovering smoothly.
I even started cooking for myself again yesterday (Hey, don't say 'Wait, you weren't doing that before??'~😅)
I vacuum, then take a break.
I wash the bathtub, then take a break.
My physical strength just isn't keeping up,
and while thinking 'Ah... starting from here again...',
I am trying not to rush, but aiming to live each day with a little more load than the day before,
racing ahead (in my heart, at least 🤣)
Now, better late than never,
does anyone remember me writing that I was trying something new
for the Beauty Japan national competition?
I am finally reporting the results.
It's gel nails.
After chemotherapy, I was in a negative spiral where getting gel nails would cause onycholysis, so I had given up on them,
but for the special occasion of the competition, I really wanted to look as beautiful as possible,
so I thought about it and tried various tricks.
First, I applied a nail base coat and top coat to my natural nails.

I didn't paint the base or the edges of the nails, and tried doing gel nails only in the middle,
as if to say, 'It's this kind of design~'.
I cut out all the steps that put a strain on the nails.
I applied a nail top coat over this to give it an overall glossy look,
and tried sandwiching it like: nail polish, gel nail, nail polish.
As a result, my mood was really lifted and I enjoyed it so much.
Now, here is the important part...
The result is

But it still had a clear effect on my skin💦

If this spreads, it usually leads to onycholysis.
However, it managed to settle down at this point.
Even now, the skin is still peeling, but it doesn't seem like there's a possibility of onycholysis.
Was it a success or not?
Well, that's hard to judge.
For me, the fact that I could enjoy it even for that one day was a big deal.
By changing the gel nail brand (ingredients),
I might be able to enjoy it more.
Changes in constitution due to anticancer drugs vary from person to person, and there are many people who enjoy gel nails without any problems at all.

If by chance there is someone else who feels that gel nails no longer suit them,
please use this as a reference.
In the end, it seems that nail polish was overwhelmingly less problematic to use,
but after all, I'm a girl, haha.
The feeling of wanting to do gel nails still comes up, doesn't it?
The feeling of wanting to do gel nails still comes up, doesn't it?
I want to continue finding various ways to be stylish while using trial and error.
It's just nails,
but it's also more than just nails.
If your mood goes up, your immunity goes up too.
Taking care of your own mood is absolutely important, even while fighting an illness.
That is what appearance care is all about.
I believe that the hope for life that arises becomes the vitality to overcome treatment
and leads to the prevention of recurrence.
