How the iPad Changed My Life
Good evening.
It's been a while since my last post.
About a year ago, I bought a base-model iPad, but I am currently using an iPad Air (5th generation).
The reason is that my child threw the tip of my Apple Pencil.
I could have just replaced the pencil, but since I was at it, I couldn't resist the urge to switch to an iPad Air so I could attach the pencil to the device to charge it.
I've summarized how my life has changed dramatically after using an iPad for a year.
I stopped buying notebooks
I bought GoodNotes, which was recommended in every magazine and website.
The paid version is a one-time purchase, and I was attracted to the fact that I could create an infinite number of notebooks once I bought it.
I love stationery and I'm the type who likes to separate notebooks by purpose, so I used to have many paper notebooks.
Once I switched to GoodNotes, the number of paper notebooks I use at home dropped to zero.
I started reading more books
At first, I was reading on Kindle, but then I subscribed to Kindle Unlimited.
The reason is that the cost of buying books exceeded the monthly subscription fee for Kindle Unlimited.
At first, I couldn't let go of the idea that if you're going to read a book, it has to be a paper book.
The excitement of seeing the cover
The texture when holding the book
The motivation from checking the thickness of the book
These are things unique to paper books, right?
However, some changes occurred after my child was born.
First, I started going to the municipal library frequently to borrow picture books for my child.
Second, my child started messing with my books whenever I was reading.
Third, I spend more time right next to my child so I can respond immediately if they wake up in the middle of the night.
I was obsessed with paper books, but my thinking changed after going to the library every week, realizing that if I wanted to read a paper book, I could just go there.
Even when I managed to read, my child would get in the way or there was a high risk of the pages being torn, so I couldn't really concentrate.
With e-books, there's no worry about them being torn, and I can read while lying next to my sleeping child (though my eyesight has definitely gotten worse).
In my lifestyle, it was easier to find time for reading with e-books.
You can also get reference books you're not sure you'll study right away with Kindle Unlimited!
This was great for someone like me who gets bored easily!
I'm currently studying bookkeeping 📚
There is still more to say, but since this is getting long, I will write about it another time.
Bonus
Even if you think you might not use it after buying it, I think you should buy it if you want one.
Since it can do so many things, I think you'll find your own way to use it.
Since the Apple Pencil came out, the things you can do have definitely increased, and it's fun to try things you've never done before.
Like drawing
You can do it with just an iPad without any tools 😍⭐️
