Who are the many people that appear in our dreams?

The "many people" who appear in dreams.
Dreams of school, dreams of shopping malls, crowds walking through the city...
Who exactly are they?
Having been curious about this for many years, I have conducted repeated experiments within lucid dreams.

What are the crowds in dreams?

The stage of a dream features not only "key characters" like family and friends, but also countless "extras."
In a normal dream, I wouldn't pay them any mind, but in a lucid state, I couldn't help but be curious about their existence.

Experiments in talking to them

Over many years, I conducted experiments where I spoke to the crowds in my dreams.
Not just once or twice, but after trying it dozens of times, a certain commonality began to emerge.

The "extras" with whom you cannot converse

To put it briefly, the crowds were like "extras."
・Their voices are abnormally quiet, and I cannot make out what they are saying
・Communication is impossible
・When I look at their faces, they are constantly vibrating and changing shape

On the other hand, conversations can be held with "characters involved in the dream's narrative," such as family, friends, or coworkers. (Thought-forms)
However, the naturalness of those conversations varies greatly depending on the dream.

Sometimes they just repeat mechanically determined lines, while at other times they might at least provide a response to my questions.
Furthermore, depending on the dream, they can even respond ad-lib as naturally as in reality, even when I throw unexpected questions or topics at them.

As you can see, there is a range in the "conversational freedom" of characters in dreams.

Hologram-like existences (Auxiliary thought-forms)

From this, I felt that the crowds in dreams are nothing more than auxiliary thought-forms, "holographically generated human shapes."
They are existences placed there solely to make the stage look natural, possessing no role beyond that of a supporting actor. (Auxiliary thought-form)
I have my own unique conclusions regarding the individual parts, but I would like to write about them another time.
