Movie "Shadows Edge"

Jackie Chan is already 71 years old.
He looked like this when he was 70.

I thought he looked older than Sammo Hung (74)... but when he dyed his hair black, he looked so much younger! (lol)

And, as expected, Jackie is the leader of the Hong Kong Trio! (I think the Hong Kong Trio is Jackie, Sammo Hung, and Yuen Biao, lol)
His kung fu is so sharp, you wouldn't think he's 71!

If anything, I feel like the villain, Tony Leung Ka-fai (67), looks older.
But Tony Leung Ka-fai is also very sharp.

I wanted to see 'Stuntman' which was showing after 'Twilight of the Warriors', but it was only playing at MOVIX theaters, so I really wanted to see 'Shadows Edge' this time!

Jun from SEVENTEEN is also in it, but I didn't even know he was Chinese to begin with.
And I wondered if an idol would be okay, but apparently he's been learning kung fu since he was a child because he admired Jackie, so he was a proper action actor!

This movie is based on the 2007 film 'Eye in the Sky' starring Tony Leung Ka-fai, which was then remade in South Korea as 'Cold Eyes' in 2013.
And now it has become 'Shadows Edge' as a Hong Kong-China co-production, but well, they are all different.

Anyway, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!
And, it's fine that the villain dies (though it was still sad)! But! The alpaca! (´；ω；｀)
I thought it would have a nice ending with the piglet (Guoguo) and they would end up together, but there must have been many people who were devastated, thinking 'Oh nooooo!'

I breathed a sigh of relief as the ending arrived, but... hmm? Was that an ending that suggests a sequel?

Jackie currently has 'Panda Plan' out, but hmm... I'm not really interested in that one.

I just wish kung fu movies would become popular again like in the old days.
Li Lianjie (Jet Li, lol) is also ill and doesn't appear in movies anymore.

People say Wu Jing is Jackie's successor, but I don't feel like he has the same level of recognition as those two.

I'll just look forward to the next kung fu movie.
