☆ "Dreams from Age 1 to 100": A 48-Year-Old's Dream
Reflecting the "dreams" of each age from 1 to 100
In this video, three people appear and each of them
shares their own "dream".
Just 10 seconds per person is a short amount of time. However, by ending the video
"in the middle of their story," we hope to leave space for viewers to imagine "what happens next."
The original concept is a book titled "Dreams from Age 1 to 100"
The inspiration for this idea came from the book
"Dreams from Age 1 to 100" (edited by Japan Dream Project). It is a
collection of photos and essays
that captures people from age 1 to 100 across Japan, interviewed over three years, as they share their "dreams"
along with their expressions.
Life stages change how the shape and words of a dream are expressed. It is very impressive how these changes are depicted as
each individual's "current thoughts."
The changing expressions of "dreams" based on age
Reading this book makes you realize that at every moment in life, there is
a "form of hope."
Dreams in early childhood are pure aspirations expressed through drawings or a few words.
Dreams of youth are challenges filled with ambition and romance.
Dreams of adulthood balance reality and ideals while revealing thoughts about family and work.
Dreams of the senior generation shine brightly as they enjoy learning and social contribution, among other "new challenges".
Truly, "dreams" are like a mirror reflecting life itself.
The power of "dreams" I want to convey through video
In this Sora2 project, we will "fragments of dreams" and express them as video. Even in a short time, you should be able to feel the
"vitality" within their
voice, expressions, and atmosphere.
Dreams make life positive regardless of age.
And, someone's dream gently pushes the back of those who see it—.
We are aiming for such a work.
