Does everyone know him?

■ What is Indiana Jones?

Indiana Jones isan American adventure film series.
It is a story about the protagonist,
“Indiana Jones (nicknamed Indy),” who is both an archaeologist and an adventurer,
going on adventures in search of secret treasures around the world.

The first film,“Raiders of the Lost Ark,”was released in 1981.
The director isSteven Spielberg,
the executive producer isGeorge Lucas,
and the lead actor is the one and onlyHarrison Ford.
Truly a legendary duo.

1. Raiders of the Lost Ark (1936)
   An adventure to find the “Ark of the Covenant,” a treasure from the Old Testament, before the Nazis do.

2. Temple of Doom (1935)
   A story about saving children kidnapped by a cult in an ancient city in India.

3. The Last Crusade (1938)
   Searching for the “Holy Grail” with his father, Henry Jones. The banter between father and son is also a highlight.

4. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (1957)
   Area 51, Soviet spies, and the mysterious relic “Crystal Skull” appear.

5. Dial of Destiny (2023)
   The latest in the series. An aging Indy goes on another adventure! The train action sequence with the remnants of the Nazis is also intense!

■ Trivia & Episodes

• The fedora and the whip are Indy's trademarks. They are now the “symbol of an adventurer,” aren't they?

• During the filming of “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” there is even aserious episode where Harrison Ford, who played Indy, continued acting even after actually hitting his elbow against his chin!

• My personal favorite is “The Last Crusade.” The interaction with his father, Henry, is incredibly charming and funny.

■ Aside: Do you remember that drama too?

I believe there was also a drama titled “The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles” that
depicted Indy's childhood as well.
I remember it being interesting to see the origins of him being a “bundle of curiosity.”

With that said, I've started wanting to
watch the entire series carefully again (laughs).
Adventure, history, family, faith—
Indiana Jones is packed with everything.
I would be happy if you could feel the roots of my character setting!
