Adapting to others opens up a new world | July 22nd's luck-boosting story
Getters Iida has compiled
365 days a year, messages that accompany each day into
one book.
It is a book that reminds us with gentle words of
important things we tend to forget in our daily lives.
I myself gain new insights from this book every day.
I want to share those lessons with you, so I am updating it daily.
At the start of the day, I hope this becomes a time that lightens your heart just a little.

■ July 22nd: "Let's find the joy in adapting to others"
The theme for July 22nd is
"Knowing the joy of adapting to others while still valuing yourself"
.
When people hear "adapting to others," some may think of suppressing themselves or
forcing themselves to do things.
However, the message for today does not mean that.
Today is a positive suggestion to encounter new discoveries and joy by
accepting the values and pace of others.
■ Adapting to others is a door to new experiences
If you always spend your time only according to your own preferences and pace,
the scenery you see will be limited.
On the other hand, if you try going to a shop the other person likes, or
try adjusting to a different tempo of conversation than usual,
you can experience a world you wouldn't have chosen yourself.
"So there is this way of thinking too"
"There is this way of enjoying things too"
As those small discoveries accumulate,
your world will gradually expand.
■ Human relationships are the gateway to luck
Getters Iida
values the idea that "luck expands through connections with people".
That is why
adapting to others is not just about being considerate.
The attitude of trying to understand the other person fosters trust, and
can bring new connections and opportunities.
You don't need to force yourself to change, but just by
moving a little closer to the other person,
human relationships can become surprisingly rich.
■ Small practices you can start today
Today, please try to be a little conscious of the
"preferences" and "tempo" of your family, friends, and colleagues at work.
And at the end of the day, it is also recommended to look back and think,
"What discoveries did I make by trying to adapt to the other person?"
Instead of thinking that "adapting means losing," think of it as
"the joy of discovering a new world".
A day spent with that mindset will
surelyhelp cultivate your luck little by little.
