[Fashion] I tried buying MUJI Labo 11 [MUJI]
Hello. This is Akisuke.
This is the 11th installment of "I tried buying MUJI Labo."
It is an exciting season for fashion,
with new fall and winter items being released almost every week.
Among them, I felt that the denim pants looked good,
so I bought them.
・Cool with just the right silhouette
・For those tired of wide silhouettes
・Make sure to try them on!
That is the kind of denim it turned out to be.
Actually, I made a bit of a mistake in choosing the size...
MUJI Labo has
changed its sizing starting this season.
I had that in mind
and checked the size chart
when I bought them, but, well, haha.
I bought the 29-inch pair,
thought "Huh?"
and bought the 30-inch pair again.
I made a mistake, but since I have two sizes on hand,
I thought I might as well
compare them.
I hope this is helpful.
What is MUJI Labo...
To put it very simply,
it is the high-end line of "MUJI."
Also, it is not just high quality;
it is manufacturing that makes us think about
what "wearing clothes" should be like
in modern fashion.
Currently, the designer for MUJI Labo
is Daisuke Obana, who is the designer of the brand
"N.HOOLYWOOD" and is mainly active in
New York and Tokyo.

Trying them on ① Comparison of 29 and 30
I will post 29-inch and 30-inch side by side.
The model's build is 175 cm, 70 kg.

Trying them on ② Comparison with wide pants
Next, here is a comparison with the
"Japan Fabric Denim
Stretch Wide Pants" I bought last year.
・The difference in size charts between last year and this year
・The difference between wide and tapered
It's a bit confusing because of both,
but I hope this is helpful.
Both are 29 inches.

Right: 2022 Tapered 29 inches
It's hard to tell because of the backlighting, but
there is quite a difference from the waist to the thighs.
This is good: sizing and silhouette.
For those who have known MUJI Labo for a while,
there might be some voices saying
the sizing is uncharacteristic,
but I feel it has become easier to use
because it is now easier to coordinate
with clothes from other brands.
Also, since this denim is tapered,
it is recommended for those who didn't like the MUJI Labo sizing before,
or for those who are getting tired of wide silhouettes.
I tried on both the 29-inch and 30-inch, and
I chose the 30-inch.
It's because it has a good balance, not too slim and not too wide,
and it goes well with the tops I currently own.
Regarding size selection,
there is quite a gap between the roominess around the waist and the slimness of the legs,
so I recommend trying them on.
Since there are few stores that carry MUJI Labo,
it is best to have them ordered to a MUJI store
to try them on.
Details and material
The stitching is chain stitching.
The fabric thickness is also solid and authentic.

You can fully enjoy the real pleasure of denim,
which is wearing it hard and enjoying the fading.
The only disappointing thing is
the details around the front pockets.

As shown in the photo, last year it had rivets, but
this year they are gone.
This design change might be in line with the MUJI Labo
brand theme of "adding as little as possible."
Conclusion
So,
this was my product review of
the MUJI Labo 11
Japan Denim Tapered Pants.
To summarize:
・A silhouette that is easy to coordinate
・For those tired of wide silhouettes
・Try them on at least once
・The authentic material is as good as ever
・It's a shame the rivets are gone
The silhouette is cool, and
the details are more than sufficient
unless you are a serious denim enthusiast.
At 6,990 yen, the value for money is quite good.
If you want cool denim but
don't have much of a budget, or
don't want something everyone else has...
then you should give these a try.
Also, while I focused on the tapered silhouette,
they also carry a wide silhouette,
so those who prefer wide fits can rest easy.
That's all for this time. See you later.
