"The World Runs on Friction" #WhatAreYouTalkingAbout
The rock band "Seiki Masatsu" (Friction) debuted solely on a self-imposed mission that nobody asked for: to advocate for the importance of friction to the world.
Their signature song, "The World Runs on Friction," became an unusual smash hit despite the fact that most of the lyrics consist of "rub," "scrape," and "squeeze."
At their concerts, a trend emerged where all the audience members would hold up sandpaper and wave it back and forth, and the venue would always heat up with the friction of bodies rubbing together in the mosh pit.
The members loved friction so much that their band meetings involved intense rubbing against each other, sending sparks flying. Their overly heated arguments sometimes caused actual fires, and the rock band essentially became igneous rock. The members became as hard as stone toward one another.
Naturally, such a state could not last long, and they reached their limit and disbanded three months after their debut.
At their final concert, the singer, "Yakedo DE Makkakka" (Red from Burns), gripped the microphone tightly and, while trembling, left these final words:
"Even with Friction LOVE... lubrication is also important..."
In that moment, every member of the audience rubbed their eyes with tears. It was a quiet friction...

"The World Runs on Friction"
Lyrics and Music: Yakedo DE Makkakka
The world runs on friction (Squeeze)
Stomp down hard and today begins (Squeeze, squeeze)
I don't need a future that slips away (Squeeze)
I'm going to live by scattering sparks (Squeeze, squeeze)
Rub, scrape, squeeze
Rub, scrape, squeeze
The story of yesterday told by shoe soles (scraping)
You get stronger for every bit you scrape (scraping, scraping)
Even tears, if you rub them on your cheeks (rubbing)
Get a little bit hot (squeeze, squeeze)
Rub, scrape, squeeze
Rub, scrape, squeeze
As if pushing back against a night that's about to stop (rubbing together, rubbing together)
Put your palms together and clap, clap (clap, clap)
A rhythm born every time we rub together (rubbing together, rubbing together)
That is our beat (squeeze, squeeze)
Rub, scrape, squeeze
Rub, scrape, squeeze
The world spins on friction (squeeze)
Your every step pushes the Earth (squeeze, squeeze)
You can't move forward with slippery dreams (squeeze)
I want to embrace the rough tomorrow (squeeze, squeeze)
Rubbing, sliding, squeezing
Rubbing, sliding, squeezing
Rubbing, sliding, squeezing
Rubbing, sliding, squeezing
Afterword
A story that felt like "what are you talking about" came to mind, so I scooped it up.
There is... no meaning.
