Don't chase those who leave...

No, it's not that I don't chase them; I can't.

That man with the messy hair tied me to a chair and left.

At my feet sits a suspicious little box.

A ticking sound, tick-tock, tick-tock, is leaking from inside.

I'm so confused I can't think straight...

How did it come to this?

A dimly lit bulb, a world of nothing but shadows.

Just as time was running out and my consciousness began to flicker...

Bang!

The room suddenly brightened, and the ball hanging from the ceiling shattered.

Eek! A cry escaped my lips before I could stop it...

Bam! The door opened. People flooded in, and a familiar melody began to play from the little box.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you..."

They were grinning as they fired party poppers at me.

I was stunned...

Today isn't even my birthday!

Who are these guys...

"Ah!" someone exclaimed.

The group started whispering among themselves.

"Ah!" one of them pointed toward the window and shouted.

Bang! The lights went out completely.

Lost in the darkness, the sound of someone running away into the distance.

Then silence fell. As if it had all been an auditory hallucination.

All that was left behind was the smell of gunpowder and me, still tied to the chair.

...

A few days later, I am now chasing those who left.

I'll hunt them down to the ends of hell...
