Rehabilitation Walk to Shiroishi Shrine.

This is the season when the autumn festival season begins.
The annual festival of Shiroishi Shrine in Sapporo will also be held from 9/10 to 9/11.

Not necessarily because of that, but I went for a walk.

The shrine building is quite large, and the main hall is magnificent. The grounds feel a bit small. As is common with shrines in emerging urban areas, there is almost no approach path.
However, during the festival, the road opposite that connects National Route 12 and Heiwa-dori is turned into a pedestrian paradise, acting like an approach path with food stalls lined up.

I visit occasionally to pray, but rather than the main hall of this shrine, the group of small shrines located in a spot on the side that feels like a remnant of an old marsh is quite nice.

Various Benten-sama, Inari-san, Ryujin-sama, Bato Kannon, and so on. Popular deities are scattered throughout the narrow valley.
It has an atmosphere that feels as if it is suddenly isolated from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Since it is a valley, you have to use stairs to visit, so it feels just right for rehabilitation.

Since it was festival season, there were even visitors in yukata, and the atmosphere was quite wonderful.

It is not large in scale, and the festival is just something cherished by the local community. Because it is in a corner of a residential area in Sapporo that is not really a tourist destination, it is a shrine that is cherished and closely tied to the community.

By the way, there are many fortune slips and the like that have been arranged in a modern style.
