I Tried Creating Sunlight Filtering Through Trees

This is my first post on Note. I look forward to connecting with you.

As a way to refresh when I feel overwhelmed by the daily grind and lose my sense of calm, I look through travel magazines and enjoy a sense of escaping to an extraordinary journey as a form of escapism.

If I were to go out, I prefer the mountains over the sea, and I love the scenery of forests surrounded by greenery. I have unified everything in my home with leaf patterns, from the curtains on my balcony to the cafe curtains in the kitchen and the small noren curtain on the window in my study.

Following that theme, I wanted to place some houseplants, but by nature, I lack confidence in raising any living things, whether plants or animals. So, the other day, I purchased some fake greenery online.
I bought two boxes of 24 bundles each, totaling 48 bundles.

I wanted to recreate the soul-cleansing sunlight filtering through the trees of the forests I admired in the photos of travel magazines inside my own home. I tied green vines to the curtain rail and the loft railing so that they would overlap with the light from the ceiling light in the center of my studio apartment.

First, I had to untangle the packaged bundles, but because of how elaborate the fake greenery was, they were very prone to tangling, and separating them one by one was quite a chore.

Conversely, when connecting the bundles together and tying both ends to the rail and the railing, the many leaves and vines intertwined with each other, allowing me to connect them quite sturdily.

I connected about 15 rows of those green vines, and while placing, hanging, and intertwining the remaining fake greenery on top of them, I adjusted how the light leaked through. In about an hour, I was able to create my long-awaited sunlight filtering through the trees in my room.

I made the photo of that sunlight I took as a memento my smartphone wallpaper. The green leaves, which should all be the same color, show various shades and hues depending on the light, and at first glance, it looks so naturally beautiful that you wouldn't think it was a picture of a room's ceiling. With no worries about them withering or concerns about bugs being attracted to them, I am simply being healed by this comfortable space.
