Faster, stronger, more fun, and freer.
Yesterday was the final day of the year that Oda Field, which I've been so grateful for throughout this past year, was open, so I went for a 30-minute run on the grass to wrap up my year of running there.
It's surprising that even though I originally started going there for interval training, I eventually found myself heading there even on my easy jog days.
Whether it was the hot summer, the warm and sunny autumn days, or the winter when it gets cold after sunset but is still bustling with many runners... I've been so well taken care of.
For me, it became more than just a place to train; it became something much more significant.
Looking back at 2022, it was a start from rock bottom due to quitting my job and dealing with injuries, but that's exactly why I realized certain things and met the people I did.
There was also a time when I thought I would just run silently by myself.
There are many ways to approach running, but I like the way I do it now, as it feels true to myself.
I can truly say that because of the people around me and everyone who has been involved in my life!!!
(Thank you so much!!!)
And this is sudden, but I think running is similar to how a person lives their life.
The people around me who enjoy running also try to enjoy many other things.
Work, parenting, studying... they find ways to enjoy even the tough parts.
People who can put in the effort often work hard at other things as well.
People who are serious, people who can balance things well, people who have incredible focus when it really counts...
(On the other hand, I shouldn't forget that what I see and what they tell me is only a small part of who they are.)
Through running, I am able to feel, learn, and experience so many things.
I want to continue running in my own way and enrich my life through running!!
“Faster, stronger, more fun, and freer.”
