When image generation first started, does anyone remember everyone getting excited over images of girls eating ramen with their bare hands? 🤔

Nowadays, we don't see much excitement over those kinds of "weird AI-specific images" anymore, do we?

What that means is,

"The quality of image generation AI has become very high"

is of course true, but

"AI art has entered a phase where it is accepted by people"

is also a factor, I think.

Of course, I think there is a certain number of people who feel an aversion to AI illustrations.

On the other hand, among the non-aligned, I get the impression that more people are thinking, "AI art can actually be quite lovely depending on the piece."

When that happens, people will start buying products that use AI illustrations without any resistance.

At this point, someone might suddenly think.

What is terrifying about this is that,

As is often the case, I am one of them, and I have been creating and selling doujin board games since 2024.

Of course, all illustrations are created using AI.

And thankfully, the first work was able to sell out, and I am currently printing the second edition.

Thus, in the board game community,

“As long as the game is interesting, I don't really care that much about the illustrations”

there is a segment that thinks this way.

Therefore, in the increasingly intense doujin markets to come, creators need to clarify “what their strengths are to compete with.”

I think that will be things like the fun of the game, the world-building, or marketing.

Conversely, this also means that the potential for even more wonderful works to be created is greatly increasing.

Therefore, I intend to enjoy this era, not only as a creator but also as a consumer.
