[Self-Introduction] Real Life in My 50s: Daily Life During the Fluctuating Years—How I Deal with Work and My Physical Condition. I will write about my journey of facing myself while continuing to work as a nurse, even though I am not particularly strong.
Nice to meet you, I'm Ai🌿
I am currently in my early 50s,
and I spend my days as a nurse working in a clinic, facing various patients every day.
Also, as an aromatherapy instructor, I have long been involved in self-care to relax the mind and body.
Because of my job as a nurse, people sometimes think I seem "reliable" or "strong," but
actually, I worry a lot, and after learning the term "highly sensitive person," I feel that might be me.
At work, I have struggled with relationships with pushy colleagues, and because I changed careers to nursing just before turning 30, I have been confused by the generational gap with younger classmates and colleagues.
I try too hard to accommodate others, and I often find myself unable to do things I could normally do—I have had that experience more than a few times.
Also, from my mid-40s, I was troubled by unexplained physical ailments. Every time various symptoms appeared, I would worry that I might have some serious illness, and my mind and body would be exhausted day after day.
I think it overlapped with the early stages of menopause, and my autonomic nervous system was also quite unstable.
Even now, my health issues haven't disappeared completely.
I tend to get anxious easily, but after confirming through tests that it's "not a serious illness," I focus on
not carrying more anxiety than necessaryand
listening to the voices of my body and mind that daywhile
calmly continuing the self-care I can do.
Receiving the signs from my bodyandadjusting my whole body.
I have gradually learned how to deal with myself in that way.
In this note, I plan to write about:
Real life in my 50s
My experience as a nurse
Self-care and daily life incorporating aromatherapy and natural perspectives
How to balance the mind and body in your 40s and 50s
How to deal with work and relationships in your 50s
Things I worried about when I was younger
I want this to be a place where I can quietly convey to those who are struggling with menopause, the instability of the transition period, vague anxiety about old age, or workplace relationships that
"You are not alone" and "It's okay not to push yourself."I would be happy if you could take away even a little bit ofhints to make your body and mind feel more at ease
.Thank you for reading until the end. May our tomorrow be
a little better than today
. Let's walk forward one step at a time together. If you resonate with this,
a like or follow
would be encouraging.I hope to write about my true experiences and thoughts with care.Thank you for your support🌿
