One month later...

Ah. Your allowance doubled, right? It's strange that you have no money left, isn't it?

You see, it wasn't just the allowance that increased. The sense of grandiosity from 'winning' increased along with it. Since I won 100%, a little bit of spending should be fine, right? Thinking that, the purse strings became loose. Before I knew it, the doubled amount was long gone.

If you had stopped at 50%, the joy would have been moderate, and you wouldn't have gotten so carried away. The more you win, the more people let their guard down. And then, they end up spending more than what they won. Winning too much isn't always a good thing, is it?

In battle, a 50% victory is best, 70% is average, and 100% (a perfect victory) is the worst.

It might look like a great victory if you talk down your opponent and get all your conditions met.

However, if you win too perfectly, carelessness and arrogance will arise within you, leading to your own downfall. Not only that, if the other party thinks, 'I don't want to work with that person again,' that victory will end up being a one-time thing.

Tightening your own focus and ending with a little bit of leeway left for both sides should lead to the next job.
