Letting one train pass to read a book
Watching people rush up the escalator because they won't make the train, I suppress my own urge to hurry and let them pass.
It's not that I want to talk about whether rushing onto a train is good or bad, or discuss time management; I just thought that if possible, I would like to go through life at a pace where I can let one train pass and enjoy reading a book.
Of course, arriving early is better, and there is nothing wrong with keeping to a schedule, but I want to live a life where I can say, 'It's fine to let one train go, because I have a book I want to read.'
“Please do not rush onto the train.”
I know they have to say that, but I don't want to hear the cold, indifferent voice of the conductor, so I think I will stop running up the escalator.
