The Sky in the Gap
Hello. It's aco★
Lately, there have been days here and there where I just can't seem to get into note... σ(・´-・`*)
I'm sorry for being late with my comments and replies💦
I've been feeling a bit swayed by my own emotions.
・・・What is this?? ( ˘•ω•˘ ).。oஇ
That's right, at times like this, I'll use my special move!!
I'll turn it into a poem, yes, let's do that ( * ‘ ꒳ ‘ )💡
🕊️🕊️🕊️
So, today is a day for poems only.
Days like that are nice too, aren't they?
A slightly longer four-part series.
Please read it if you'd like.

If I say I'm okay,
maybe I really am okay.
But in truth,
I also feel like nothing is okay at all.
The sounds of the world
had grown a little distant.
People's voices,
and even my own feelings,
I couldn't quite take them all in.
I just,
quietly watched the scenery outside.
At times like that,
the tiny bit of sky I saw
from the car window,
the sound of the wind,
the cars in the distance,
and the voices of birds whose names I don't even know
Just a little bit,
you brought me back to this side.
Even if it doesn't fill my entire field of vision,
even if it's just through a gap,
the sky
was truly the sky.
This is
a record of small breaths
on such a day.

Sky in the Gap
aco
I. Sky in the Gap
The sky seen through the gap
may not
fill my entire view,
but even so,
it was
truly the sky.
Every once in a while, gently
take off your earphones
and listen to the
noisy yet quiet
sounds of the world.
The sound of the wind
A car in the distance
The song of a bird
whose name I do not even know
Even while I
pretended not to hear
the world
was
properly ringing
Outside of me too,
there was
still a world
Even through the gap
the sky
is the sky

the sky was truly the sky.
II The Way Home
Cars returning
with satisfied faces
Little birds
returning to the sky
Little by little,
they have increased
The insects I am not fond of
Even so
The evening breeze is
somehow
gentle
Another day
in places I don't know
is properly
coming to an end
So I wasn't the only one
who had come to a standstill,
was I

are all on their way home.
III A Big Tree
Swaying before my eyes
is a big tree
I wish
that were Totoro's tree
Clinging onto
its fluffy fur
whoosh
into the sky
Even though I'm an adult,
I'm still
thinking
about things like that
Just by thinking about it
I can
breathe a little

there are days I want to fly into the sky.
IV Leaves
Swaying on the tree branches
the leaves
Like pom-poms
rustling and swaying
Just like
they are
cheering me on
Twinkle twinkle twinkle
Rustle rustle rustle
Twinkle twinkle twinkle
Rustle rustle rustle
Just a little bit more
Just a little bit more
Stay here
Take a deep breath
Slowly
slowly
I'll come back again
Yeah
Take care

The little cheers of the leaves.
Afterword
The outside world,
even while I'm not looking,
keeps moving,
keeps sounding,
and keeps finishing its day.
Just realizing that,
made it a little easier to breathe.
The big tree,
the swaying leaves,
the birds heading home,
none of them said anything,
but somehow,
I felt like they were saying,
it's going to be okay.
Somewhere in the illustrations,
the Poyons are hiding too.
Whether you find them or not,
they are surely there.
I'll come back again.
Yeah.
Take care.

it is surely there.
