Recent Realizations | Am I Not Appreciating My Daughter Enough?
Hello, this is Acha.
Some of you might see the title and think, "Huh?" but I am writing this article as a reminder to myself.as a reminder to myselfI am writing this article.
The reason is that recently,
my daughter has stopped listening to me.
Those who read my previous article might already know this
(Article excerpt below ▼)
“As I kept doing it, the feeling that
‘There are so many people around me’
naturally welled up,
and I felt a heartfelt sense of gratitude
for my daughter and husband who are close to me.
Then, one after another,
my daughter’s way of being changed,
my way of being changed,
the frustration we felt with each other decreased drastically,
and we became able to spend our days peacefully.”
As I wrote here,
in my opinion,my daughter’s state and my state are quite linkedto each other.
I would like to write about my thoughts on that.
My daughter, who has suddenly stopped listening to me lately
Until a little while ago, when I explained, "Please do this," she would give a good response like, "Yeah! Got it!" and keep her "promises" well.
Even now, she says, "It's a promise!" herself,
and when she's in a good mood, she behaves well, but
in the last few days, suddenly,
the "promises" have stopped getting through.
The old me would have just ended it with "I guess it can't be helped,"but having had that previous experience, I started to think,
“Perhaps the cause lies in my own way of being.”
Thinking that, I realized again that for the past few days,I have been
completely preoccupied with my own affairs.
I realized that again.
I must not take my own struggles out on my daughter
I myself have absolutely no awareness that I am taking it out on my daughter.
However, I realized that in the last few days, I clearly haven't had any room to spare.
And looking back,
there was an event where I felt her attitude was clearly different from usual.Apart from the community I am currently involved in, I participate in an interesting community, and I often participate in Zoom meetings there with my daughter.Until now, even when I participated with her,
my daughter didn't really mess around,
and I had the impression that she tried not to be seen on camera,
but in the Zoom meetings over the last few days,
as if to interrupt me while I was talking,
my daughter kept talking and talking to me.
Furthermore, unable to hold it in anymore,
she would shout, "Mommy, let's play together!!!!!" lolI don't think my 2-year-old daughter senses the atmosphere,
but I was surprised because it was so different from before.
It's not that being quiet means being good,
but I was surprised by the change, thinking, "What happened to the daughter I knew before?"
However, seeing that, I thought,
“This must be my emotions and way of being rubbing off on my daughter.”
I thought that naturally, without any basis.
Truth be told, I
was "forcing myself" in this new community.
So, I will think of my daughter again
It was last week that I realized myself that I had been forcing myself in the community.
Once I realized that,
my actions changed naturally,
and I became able to accept the me who was forcing myselflittle by little.
But something is missing.
For me, that is, after all,
to sincerely thank my daughter.
I am so happy that she is here, and I am so encouraged by her existence,
but I had forgotten to feel grateful to her
due to the daily struggles.
That is why, now, I could naturally think,
“Let me thank her for her existence again.”
Thank you for always telling me you love me, Mommy.
Thank you for eating your meals every day saying, "This is delicious."
Thank you for growing up so much that you tell me what happened at nursery school today.
Thank you for always trying to keep our "promises."
Thank you for always being with me.
I am still immature.
I am sure I will repeat these reflections often.
But even so,
I am grateful to my daughter for giving me the opportunity to reflect,
and I have nothing but gratitude for you who are reading this article.
It's okay to take three steps forward and two steps back.
I will grow little by little at my own pace!
===========================
I have launched a community called [Failure is the stepping stone to success!]
In this community,
it is a place where people gather who want to work hard at something but lack the courage,
want to share their motivation with someone,
or want someone to give them a push.
However, it is not a place to work hard.
With the motto of being relaxed and having fun,
we are connected loosely ♡
Why don't we support each other's desire to work hard
in a free and anonymous LINE open chat?
I am looking forward to your participation! ☺️
