Connections Made Through Soul Journaling
Have you ever tried journaling?
Journaling is the act of
writing down your emotions and thoughts in a notebook
to evoke the inner cries of your heart.
When I started using note,
I used it as a form of journaling.
I began posting with the concept of
“Failure is the stepping stone to success,”
sharing my own stories of failure
while using it as a way to reflect on myself.
Organizing the past,
and especially organizing stories of failure,
actually takes a lot of courage.
I feel like there are many such people on note,
and as I read various articles,
perhaps because of that, I feel that everyone who posts on note
is looking at themselves from a bird's-eye view,
which makes it feel completely different from other social media,
and I feel comfortable posting here.
In the midst of that, I participated in this project.
Soul Journaling.
It is a workshop where you face yourself by
pouring your feelings into the notebook sent to you
according to the prompts,
and expressing “the you who is writing right now” just as you are.
I have long felt a “sense of connection deep in my heart”
with the organizer, haRu-san,
and she has always been someone I was curious about.
However, I didn't have the courage for a one-on-one session (laughs),
so I thought this was a great opportunity
and decided to sign up.
There were three of us who signed up
around the same time, including me.
We decided that once we finished writing in the notebooks,
we would have a Zoom talk session together,
and although there was quite a gap in time
due to scheduling conflicts and such,
we met for the first time on October 8th.
We wrote our respective thoughts and words
in the notebooks we received,
and brought them to the talk session.
Even with the same questions, our perspectives were slightly different,
and I realized that even with similar meanings,
the impression received can be so different with just a slight variation,
and because each person's “individuality” came through in the words that emerged,
it turned out to be a very wonderful talk session.
The paths each of us has walked,
the trajectories of our lives,
and the people we have been involved with
Everything was different, but the four of us, including haRu-san,
met and spent a wonderful time
releasing our true selves.
And, from the perspective of journaling,
while it is good to face things silently on your own,
I felt that the time spent sharing with others
and acknowledging each other's values
was truly special.
After all, since we live together with others,
we want to walk a good life together with people.
I want to walk a good life together with people.
I've been thinking more lately
that perhaps I have chosen the people I interact with
to some extent.
That doesn't mean restricting things,
but perhaps it means I have been blessed with connections
where our lives enrich each other
through a series of "something good" moments.
At the root of that is my own existence.
I will live as myself.
I realized that I want to continue being that way.
Thank you for reading my unpolished writing
to the very end.🫶
And, although this report is late,
to everyone I shared this time with,
thank you so much.☺️🫶
